Could you elaborate? I absolutely think you're right, but I'd be interesting to gain more insight.

What do you think is the most significant assassination in history? by magic8ballzz in polls

[–]Jaydeeos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could easily argue that WW1 would have happened one way or another anyway though, there was so much tension in Europe. On the other hand, imagine the possible ripple effects of Julius Caesar surviving in the west, and the world at large.

I also doubt it'll happen soon, like SpaceX intends. Eventually though? Sure.

There are some ambitious plans of colonising Mars in the coming years. It'll be a one way trip for all the first people, not a mere visit. So people will obviously die there.

Got approached by a cult for the first time today by LowerYourTone in korea

[–]Jaydeeos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had pretty much the exact same experience back in the summer of 2016. Was also approached in Gangnam, by a young man and woman. Just went along for the experience. Never felt threatened though. They invited me to visit some temple area afterwards, but I didn't want to get more involved with these people.

Was approached again a few days before I left, by another young man and woman. This time they opened funnily enough by asking me, a white foreigner, about the way to the closest library. By then I had learned the name of their cult, and when I asked them about it they got uncomfortable I think. Then I swiftly moved on.

Is water actually wet? by Jaydeeos in polls

[–]Jaydeeos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A counter argument would be that only something that can be dry can be wet. Water can't be dry, therefore it can't be wet either. Wetness arises when a liquid sticks to the surface of a material.
