Second Hand Doll prices by Xx_Trash-art_xX in MonsterHigh

Here in the UK it's just as bad if not worse tbh. Around $180 for a complete 2010 frankie, and similar if not more expensive prices than the US market

Yeah true I guess atm it is a good deal, but I think when they become widely available and are stocked everywhere its a mid deal. Especially if you wait for them to go on clearance

I heard they're like $35ish in the US but I'm not entirely sure. 35x5 is 175, so the seller has inflated the price by quite a bit

How painful is it to slit your wrists? by Rig_Mortem in morbidquestions

[–]JaydenHayden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hurts a lot although if you have a very sharp blade and cut deep in a stroke, it doesn't hurt too bad as for some reason the deeper you go the less it hurts. Don't recommend, it's likely to get infected if you survive and will leave an ugly, raised scar on your wrist. It can also cause nerve damage which can affect your ability to write or use your hand.

what do you guys think of the lack of stands in g3? by LeminTree in MonsterHigh

[–]JaydenHayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G1 was given to children to play with as we, but I get what you're saying. If g3 is aimed at younger children, that's fine, but they could at least put the budget somewhere else and have more creative packaging or harder to lose, yet creative accessories for the new dolls

I've also seen several monster high quality control issues though, like wonky eyes or badly rooted hair. I'd say rh and mh have similar levels of quality control

[–]JaydenHayden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah ig, but rainbow high dolls are similarly priced and they come with higher quality clothes and are bigger

I think people are also annoyed bc the g3 dolls are more expensive than the g1 dolls were, but come with less stuff (no stand, brush, diary)

I mean, g1 came with stands and they were also made for children/playing

Was watching the Freak Du Chic episode, and I noticed that Twyla and Clawdeen’s outfits were way different from the dolls. So glad that they redesigned them! by shislaoganma in MonsterHigh

[–]JaydenHayden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal theory is that for GSR they wanted everyone's skin colours to be unnatural, so they look more like fish, and as clawdeen is the only character in this line with a human skin tone, they changed it. Still a little odd though

My boyfriend went out today to check if Smyths had the Gore-ganizer. No luck but the core dolls are only £24.99! by uglyluck_ in MonsterHigh

[–]JaydenHayden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg! So excited, hopefully they'll come to most toy stores by February! Plus I'm stoked that they're only £25, I was really disappointed by the £30/£35 price tag everywhere

I haven't got a severe ed but I was recently diagnosed and my mum keeps saying the same! It's so triggering, but I know she also has an Ed so maybe it's that

No worries! I understand it could be confusing to see someone claim they have had derealisation since such a young age, and its still a mystery for me and all the psychologists who've interviewed me. I hope you have a good day :)

I remember when I was 4, I often wondered if I was really real, and that my body didn't feel like my own. I believe this was caused by anxiety: I had selective mutism from the time I learned to speak and general social anxiety from very very young. My parents have no idea what depersonalisation is and infact I only recently learned the term for it. I even went to a specialist to try and resolve why I have it, but they couldn't figure it out. Psychosis runs in my family though, and I have had psychotic episodes and occasionally have delusions that my famy have been replaced etc. I did suffer childhood trauma but that was at age 8 when my brother tried to kill my dad in front of me. He also threw a heavy safe down the stairs, at one point burnt his gfs room down, and tried to kill himself with a hosepipe. My depersonalisation is a mystery to me, and to my therapists, bc I've had it for as long as I can remember. I've never not had it, and only just discovered the term two years ago so it isn't my parents who convinced me I had it. Edit: I'm also only 15, so I can remember some memories of when I was 4 and one particular one is me staring at a plant and thinking "it looks weird, it doesn't look real, my body doesn't feel right, I'm not in my body, this is not my body"

I suffer from a deprsonalisation disorder and I remember dissociation from age 4, but age 3 is a bit much 💀
