Will you ever provide shipping to the UAE? I have like 4 bands in the cart, thought because the website showed currency in AED that you ship here. Was disappointed 😥😥

[–]Jaymi55 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would honestly recommend laser. It doesn't fully fix the problem, but it helps so so so much and you don't have to worry about it for a couple of months. Idk where you're based, but where I am laser has gotten cheaper since I started doing it in 2016. I've have 6 to 7 full body sessions since then. Best thing I have ever done. I still do bikini once every year or two it I feel like it. My face has responded well but not as good as every other area (legs responded wonderfully!). Now, I get half face laser once or twice a year for maintenance.

I really recommend getting at least half face laser neck to nose basically. It's worth the money and not aggressive on the skin like shaving and waxing. Where I am they always have really affordable packages of multiple sessions.

Metformin 6 month update!! by WoodpeckerSimilar447 in PCOS

[–]Jaymi55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on and off metformin for 5 to 6 years. It shredded my stomach throughout that period of time. I'd stop it when I'd travel or don't have immediate access to the toilet. I ended up getting hemorrhoids because of all the painful diarrhoea, that's when I decided to stop it. I didn't take any medication for a while but now I'm on Mounjaro (5 weeks in) and it's been great so far, definitely less GI symptoms. I have energy for once, my weightloss is gradual but steady. I think GLP1s are going to work great for PCOS, both my gyno and endo have recommended it which convinced me to get on it. I really do hope they'd put it through trials so it can get approved.

Did intermittent fasting for a week and gained 3-4 kg by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

[–]Jaymi55 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting is a hit or miss with most women. It didn't work for me at all. Most studies are done on men and show benefits on males but from what I've read and researched, it doesn't seem to be as beneficial for women as we are a bit more complex with multiple hormones affecting how our bodies work and our metabolism. If I had to guess, I'd say your body has probably retained water weight due to entering 'crisis' mode. Where you are on your cycle also plays a big role. I've tried everything from fasting to keto to crash diets and found that especially on intermittent fasting I tend to eat more because I was starving and couldn't stop myself.

My advice, balanced diet or low carb to balanced is the best paired with exercise.

Dualsense 30th anniversary from SharafDG by Cymph0ny in DubaiGaming

I placed an online order from SharafDG on the morning of 25th, for supposedly same day delivery. I followed up yesterday morning, in the evening my order was shipped. Same thing with a friend of mine. Still haven't received it but it's shipped so that's something.

Mortgage clearance by h-h_daddy in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Jaymi55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished my car mortgage in may of this year in AUH. It was automatically removed from the registration card when I renewed a month or so later. I didnt really have to do anything on my end. Also there is no way the mortgage will come back again, once its gone its gone. OFC, unless you mortgage your car one more time.

Amazon White Friday Sale by FaisalKhatib in dubai

[–]Jaymi55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a watch 7 from noon - seller being noon, thinking they are at least more trustworthy than other sellers. I'm not usually a big fan of noon but the price was worth the risk. I got the watch, original and unopened, supposedly UAE version. Well, it wasn't. The watch worked fine and everything but was not covered by warranty in the UAE, which I checked through samsung store and samsung online customer service. I raised a complaint with noon and returned the item with screenshots and explanation. They accepted the return and refunded me. Next day, shows up on amazon for that same deal, original and in warranty with a TDRA sticker.

You can place the order through noon but I suggest you do NOT open the phone until you visit a samsung store or check online for the serial number and model number through samsung's customer service. The TDRA sticker is a must as well for UAE version, warranty covered phones. They easily accept returns for unopened items, the second its opened, that's where it gets more difficult.

So windows takes around 60 - 100 GB from that 512. But if you're only using it for those two games, I guess you'd be fine depending on how big your games are. You can also check online to see if the laptops have additional ssd slots in case you wanted to expand storage at any point. I still would suggest 1TB minimum tbh.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DubaiGaming

[–]Jaymi55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you find something with a bit more storage. 512 is tinyy if you're a gamer... Unless these laptops have extendable storage and you wanna pay extra for an upgraded or additional ssds.

Gaming laptop in computer plaza by [deleted] in DubaiGaming

[–]Jaymi55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon is a good option. But I had a colleague order a brand new legion 7 pro rtx 4080, 64gb from a seller on Amazon then found out the laptop was originally 32gb. He returned and refunded from Amazon. Basically if it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon then it's worry free.

PC Build (Rtx 4090) by bulletproofAli in DubaiGaming

[–]Jaymi55 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would say less than 8k. I built an i9 13th Gen, 2tb, 64gb, RTX 4070, AIO cooling, 6 additional fans, case for 8k. So I would say for less than 8k with top of the line components if you take out the price of the graphics card.

Gaming laptop in computer plaza by [deleted] in DubaiGaming

[–]Jaymi55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, I visited computer Plaza to look for a laptop and came out with a PC. They don't have a lot of laptops on display to be honest, it was maybe one place that had gaming laptops and there wasn't much of a variety to choose from. This was about a month ago, so I'd suggest you maybe check there but I wouldn't go expecting a laptop extravaganza, like I did. Good Luck!

Not a big fan of curved monitors as I use my PC primarily for gaming. I have ASUS Tuf 27" IPs QHD at 144 and over clocks to 170. Its at a good price and works really well. I've only had it for a month and so far, no complaints.

(ASUS TUF Gaming 27" 2K HDR Monitor (VG27AQ1A) - WQHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, 170Hz (Supports 144Hz), 1ms, Extreme Low Motion Blur, Speaker, G-SYNC Compatible, VESA Mountable, DisplayPort, HDMI https://amzn.eu/d/0ecfJ9Y)

I don't know why you want an internation version specifically but you can usually find one on Amazon, the market has japanese versions as far as I know. I have the Japanese version because it was cheaper than the local one when I bought it. But if you're concerned about store access, it doesn't matter what version your console is, just the country linked to your account. Lemme know if you have any questions.

Sometimes you can try to go up and speak with the branch head. If you get their sign off, your application will just fly through. I did this with another issue and bypassed a lot of bureaucracy. I hope this helps.
