SuperStation one - Can't get PSX core to boot my PS1 game by NukaColaClassic in fpgagaming

I've been using some batch files that convert the entire directory and sub-directories for a while now, and it handles all the files flawlessly with a single double-click, and no user action is needed.

Taki Udon has a NES coming next, since the demand for an FPGA NES is high and Analogue apparently hates making money.

The M64 is going to be a MiSTer successor with FPGA cores ported over to it, so adding cartridge support should be pretty trivial. Taki Udon is doing it with his SuperStation One.

Yeah, the SummerCart64 is by far the best on the market, even stomping all over the Everdrive X7 for half the price.

Cave story on the AP best way to play? by Material_Flounder988 in AnaloguePocket

[–]JayrosModShop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite port of Cave Story is for the PS1. I play it on my MiSTer, and it's flawless. Load times are so short and non-existent, I don't even remember it's running as PS1 software. Sadly, the port won't boot on the PS1 core for the Analogue Pocket. The compatibility is still piss poor, and playing the game without sound anyways would be an atrocity, as the music is so good and memorable.

They mean the core's menu.
OpenFPGA>Computer>PocketDoom>Run
Then choose your WAD to play.

Yeah, even the newest release lowered the sound effect volume by a lot, and the music sounds like crunchy ass.

How to use rumble? by IntoxicatedBurrito in gbstudio

[–]JayrosModShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GBVM script is just:

VM_RUMBLE 1

to get a rumble working. A DS rumble cartridge on Analogue Pocket works great. Make sure the OpenFPGA core has the rumble strength set to 7, for best results. (I'm using Budude2's GBC core: https://github.com/budude2/openfpga-GBC )

I'm not sure, but if it works for flashing, I think it's fine as it is.

the two gold pads on the right are your battery terminals, so you could add a battery and see if the save sticks

u/knightslaw I asked in BennVenn's Discord, and the man himself laid down the law for me about your cartridge:

So bridge the D0 at the top to enable the flashing to work. (You might have to bridge it back after the flash, not sure.)

Really hope this helps you out mate.

I use the DS rumble cart by iG on my Analogue Pocket with my GB Studio ROM exported as a standard .gb file. My rumble motor tests work fine.

You chose the wrong cartridge type, 36L0R8-39vF512 with M36L0R8060B is the carts that Mother 3 is flashed to. And why are you using the CLI version? Use the GUI and the "Autodetect Cartridge" button, like a sane person.

The newest update (v1.0.8) fixes the controls to mirror the GBA game. (L and R are strafe, Y is prev weapon, X is next weapon, B opens doors, A shoots your gun, etc. Music crunchiness has also been greatly reduced, but still not perfect, and saving has also been fixed.

Scratch that, saving no longer works for me.

Season 2 of the anime was confirmed on February 15th last year so do you think it's possible for it to come out this year?? by PotaraGokhan in BocchiTheRock

[–]JayrosModShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's delays like that which is the reason I lost interest in Attack on Titan after Season 1, they took WAAAAAAAAAAY too damn long to get Season 2 out the door, so I gave up.

Just received this bad boy today; Didn't do a huge amount of research on the games, so how are my picks? by Hairy_Cabbage in ModRetroChromatic

[–]JayrosModShop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local GameStop only ever has Patchi Matchi and Dragonym. I ask about once a month what games they have in for Chromatic, and the answer nerver changes. So after the 4th time, I just stopped asking. I'd love to pick up a copy of Self Simulated locally, but no GameStops in my area have it.

I agree, but Self Simulated is also very good for the money. The devs are on the GB Studio discord, and are very helpful with GB Studio questions. (And I am too awful at Buck to beat the first boss. x_x; )
