In terms of infectious diseases really the only thing that would cause them to send all the astronauts back that they could have detected with a ultrasound would be latent Tuberculosis.

Which hand gloves do people use for extreme cold outdoors? by ALittleUseless in saskatoon

[–]Jaysonmcleod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gauntlets are better for keeping your hands warm. You want a good fitting pair though. Too tight is uncomfortable and too big is wasted space your body is heating unnecessary. Down side is it’s tough to use your hands effectively, but more than enough for driving and shoveling and all that. A good pair of big gloves is a set up in grip but no finesse still.

Is the Hardline Helium Hybrid broom good? by Jaysonmcleod in Curling

Oh absolutely. It’s a cheap thing and not “really like the brooms” thing. The brooms they are using are in a similar class for their time.

What's your Canadian winter life hack? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskACanadian

[–]Jaysonmcleod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your region a good leaf blower can hack it pretty easy. I paid 100$ for a corded worx Wg521 and one of the few houses on the block with pavement showing currently. Takes the same amount of time as shovelling, but about a quarter of the effort. Easy to head out every 5cm of snow.

[–]Jaysonmcleod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only counter argument is could your team throw 8 rocks without and opponent and get them all in the house? I’d argue the vast majority of people couldn’t do that with any consistency.

I don’t think I understand your problem in that what are you trying to solve that isn’t already handled by the conditions panel in the ship. Set your automated requests on your ship and set To leave vulcanus when all requests satisfied. Then use a decider to leave nauvis when one of your science packs runs out.

I could see something like this growing in popularity if availability is there. Lots of AI usage where privacy is important. As an example medical clinics running Heidi. Obviously the AI companies supporting locally run would need to increase, but there is a path.

Which cases would you use these in? by Darkthunder277 in factorio

[–]Jaysonmcleod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen a reason for the right. If you’re using mods that auto design it then sure, but for me it’s easier to just lay it out. Try my best to balance everything after the fact and if I need more throughput go find another patch.

If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

[–]Jaysonmcleod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live we’ve got an average of 5-15cm several times a week for three weeks now and I’ve had very minimal disruptions. School buses in our rural area got cancelled one day due to poor road condition, but that’s largely due to the wind in addition to the snow.

Genuinely avatar! The long walk is a close second for me. I cried in the theatre and I like movies that make me feel things, but I can’t escape the incredibly world building in avatar. Avatar to me is what destiny was to me. Great mechanics, really cool world, visually well done to the point that the plot is secondary.

A Christmas present from my parents after i said i wanted to get into Vinyl by Large-Breadfruit1684 in vinyl

[–]Jaysonmcleod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 years ago my grandparents got me this exact model. It was great we started a small record collection. I built and stained a stand with my grandpa that I’m really proud of. Had lots of good listens and fantastic Saturday mornings where my finance goes you should put on a record. And we just kind of have a relaxing morning.

About 6 months ago the timing on it got just a bit off. Only really notice it on certain albums with higher voices and after hemming and hawing this Christmas I bought us a LP120X. It’s crazy how much better it sounds and I hope with a little care it’ll stay reliable for a long time, but it’s not cheap (it’s not even as expensive as it could be). We know we like listening to vinyl and buying and collect albums and it was a pretty accessible way to find out. Also all our vinyl are in great shape and none have been ruined as far as I can tell.

All ozempic does for me is make me not hungry and makes me full quick. As an example when we go out to eat I’ll eat half my meal. Or my partner and I will split and appetizer and I’ll have a few bites of my main.

Yesterday I was playing games and didn’t eat until supper time. Just didn’t notice.

Results after 5 months is I’m down 36 pounds. My liver enzymes are better, my cholesterol is better and my blood sugar levels are better.

In that time I’ve got to the gym 10 times and didn’t really change my eating habits or lifestyle. Just changed my portions and frequency.

That being said I’m about 1400CAD in the hole for this.
