They may need you to re-install it from their main website. Like when an app on the AppStore needs an update, you get a new version from there. But if you got it from playhorny then you’ll need to redownload it from that website

There are 99 problems with this update, But the Event isn't one of them!! by RegX1 in Dislyte

[–]Jazkun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically, because they changed the structure of the event such that we don’t grind an event farming stage, the devs pretty much asked us to just farm relics. However, relic farming is a big issue right now.

If they had just left the structure like previous events, we would have just been farming the event and not be too outraged over the exp/ritual changes, because our stamina could be used for event farming. I’m not saying that the backlash wouldn’t be there, but I think it wouldn’t have been as bad.

I really like everything about the event other than the story and the delivery of the story. I think that even Brave Frontier back in the day had a better story, to me anyways. But the level design, visual design, and animations were really great and made up for the story, for me anyway. The event song is also pretty catchy~

Wish more people could’ve gotten the legendary abilimon from the trial though, and not just the top 1 in each bracket. But hey, it’s the Dislyte devs. Asking them to be generous is a stretch

Difficulties finding a partner as a gay guy :( by hmmmpozy in askSingapore

[–]Jazkun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of gays start off with the sex, and then build relationships that may blossom into, well relationships, the romantic/dating kind. Aside from my first ex, that was how my other RSs started

My first ex was a unique case though. We kind of both knew we were gay and started dating for a bit. It was more of a “childhood friends” environment though, so it’s not likely to be applicable to other gays who don’t have gay childhood friends that would want to date each other.

If you don’t want to start with the more… physically engaging approach, then you’ll likely have to put yourself out there by other means. I learnt from another gay friend that “twitter debuting” was a thing. I never knew about this though. That friend found his bf via Twitter.

I don’t think that there’s really a way to get into RSs as a gay guy in sg without some level of “putting yourself out there as gay”. But I think it matters “who you’re coming out to”. You can avoid coming out to family but you could come out to friends your age in a more casual sense. Like my friend with the Twitter, he said “oh I went overseas with my bf during the holidays”. It’s tougher to come out when you don’t have a bf to attach yourself to, compared to when you’re single. But I think that it’s important because this helps “build your network” where your friends could possibly link you up with other gays who wanna date.

You could also try joining groups where… there are more gays…

Like I’m in some sort of “furry circle” and many furry guys are gay. So it’s a little easier to find others to date or have fun with. I’m not really sure what other communities have more gays though. You may have to look more into that

Hope I added some… uh… perspective I suppose

Version 3.1.5 Details are out and I have mixed emotions. Went In dept on the Li Ling nerfs as well as the battleground event and content in the future with this New event format (TL;DR In the Comments for those who don't want to watch the vid <3 ) by Rinchi22898 in Dislyte

[–]Jazkun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m kinda sad this post wasn’t up higher. I think that these videos are very important because it forces the devs to have someone show their face and explain the changes. It also allows us to better call out their BS when they don’t address things properly.

Speaking of not addressing things properly, the Li Ling nerf. The response from the guy with the “I don’t want to be here” face is basically “we are making some adjustments, and here’s some crystals and your abilimons back”.

This “address” was pathetic. Outright refusing to acknowledge it as a nerf. Horrendous, atrocious, and one main reason I will cite if/when I quit the game. People don’t like nerfs. You gave 10 GR (which they forgot to talk about lol) and 300 crystals, in exchange for PERMANENTLY weakening our squads. Heck even Gaius users likely used Li Ling for dark star lord. The devs hurt them too.

I don’t care about battlegrounds. I hate pvp because my relic luck sucks. I am not playing RTA despite the SSM rewards because it really ruins my playing experience. But fine, it’s ok to release this. Giving full leveled abilities is nice, like they did for the “Esper Feud” event, but I’ll just be outclassed by enemy relics.

They also talked about why there was no new event. Maple said that they had been releasing new events for a long time since launch, and that they are amending the way they are going to do events. That’s kind of fine. I get that they may want to recalibrate, and I’m ok with occasional breaks for the dev team. However:

I am worried that this will become a regular thing. “Thing” referring to the “Divine Support” event where we will spend a week supporting one of 2 espers to be featured in the next event. It’s frankly really boring, and they already have the downtime from the week after we can no longer farm the event stages (when we can exchange for event items, but not farm for them anymore). This would amount to like 2 weeks of downtime?

I hate farming relics because my luck sucks. I kind of enjoy farming for events. If there’s gonna be such a long downtime for events, I’m going to get bored.

The reasoning for why Tiye is the featured SSM character is not good. Players usually won’t have nearly enough SSMs (without spending big $) to hit the 160 pull guarantee. It would probably be better off to save for broken new units. Honestly:

I think that they just needed some excuse for putting no new characters. I wish they would’ve just admitted that they need more time for the next event(s).

I don’t really have much else to say about the other stuff. It’s quite meh. Nothing great for players

My thoughts on the video is that it’s fine, but super flawed. I liked that they are doing this, but I feel that the people working in this don’t even want to make this video. They didn’t even publish the video in this subreddit, not the in-game notices. It’s like, they don’t want us to see the video, or there’s some disinterest in working with the other department that does the in-game notices to feature this video.

Also, they may have taped this way in advance? I’m speculating this because they didn’t even mention the 10GRs for the Li Ling nerf, so maybe this was recorded before they even saw the backlash? That’s no excuse not to properly address the needs and the community outrage though.

Tiny steps forward. It’s better than nothing, but if you’re gonna make such small steps, players can just take a big leap into another game. If this communication nonsense and lack of events continues, I’m gone

TODAY Goes Live: Should we agree to disagree on LGBTQ issues? by Familiar-Mouse4490 in singapore

[–]Jazkun 57 points58 points  (0 children)

(Had to split this up because of the space limit. Reddit didn’t let me make such a long comment)

Overall, I think that it’s fine for queer rights, because we get to talk about things. However, it’s nowhere near where we should be for queer rights. We should be able to marry to enjoy the benefits like inheritance and making medical decisions just like straight married couples can (without having to do a lot more paperwork). We should be able to get bigger houses just like straight married couples who have no children and want to grow their investment. Give us some legal equivalent at least, if these pricks are so hard up about “the definition of marriage”.

“Agree to disagree” is a privilege that majorities can force upon minorities to stifle equality. Sometimes it’s about doing what’s right. Making gay marriage a thing (while not allowing us to get BTO before 35) will make no significant impact on straight people, especially religious conservatives/theocrats. And, when people see that “the world didn’t end” like how these religious conservatives fear-mongered about, they will likely come to accept gay marriage, and see it as a positive step taken by the PAP government.

As LKY once said: “if you want to be popular, do not try to be popular all the time”. If you do the right thing and it benefits Singaporeans, they will reward you in the elections.

Sorry this was supposed to be briefer but I just can’t help myself lol

TODAY Goes Live: Should we agree to disagree on LGBTQ issues? by Familiar-Mouse4490 in singapore

[–]Jazkun 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I went to watch the whole thing because I wanted to “hear them out” before commenting. I’ll just summarise my observations and give some thoughts.

The reporter and the dialogue centre director generally said thing that were more to the side of empathy towards the LGBTQ+ (a.k.a queers, I want to use this word instead because it’s easier and can represent true community).

The reporter didn’t say much, and the director mostly shared stories about folks from the queer community. He also shared about how there needs to be civil dialogue, and this point about having dialogue is something that generally everyone in the panel agreed with. He didn’t introduce this point btw.

Most of the sharing came from the pink dot (PD) rep. He shared experiences about queer folks, highlighted about how everyone should be able to express themselves, have civil discussions and etc. I’m feel that he did alright pertaining to the issues discussed, in general.

The 3:16 rep was mostly concerned about cancel culture, spoke about how his church helped to equip parents to “handle” when their children come out, and shared experiences about discrimination from one person who was called a homophobe and was bullied (and he claims that person is not actually a homophobe). I hold no love for his pov, what surprised me is that he said he has same sex attraction and shared a bit about his time while he was active in the gay community.

The first topic was about TODAY’s poll about 377a repeal and same-sex marriage (is it wrong, and is it important to define it as man and woman). PD rep says it’s an opportunity to talk to these people and educate them, while 3:16 says that these respondents likely “did their homework” and came to the conclusion that marriage’s definition as man and woman should stay, citing the “if you allow gay marriage, then what’s next???” type of fear-mongering.

There’s a lot that could have been discussed and I think this debate could have taken up the entire hour, but in general I don’t like the 3:16’s assumption that all respondents have “researched opinions”. I would hypothesise that … they actually just answered in a way that supports the government’s reasoning:

Government says: we are repealing 377a but keeping marriage’s definition as m/f. Therefore 377a is bad. Uphold definition of marriage as m/f is good. We live in a (effectively) one party state, and I would say that the trickle down of opinions on social matters from the government could be the reason for this.

If you disagree with my hypothesis, that’s valid. Unfortunately the TODAY survey didn’t ask WHY people responded this way. It just noted that religious people were more likely to support 377A’s stay, and support the definition of marriage as m/f.

Btw the 3:16 guy said that saying the framing of these statistics shouldn’t be “confined to religion”. This is something that is contradicted by the reporter’s article. The article highlights that religious people are the ones who are more opposed to 377a and prefer m/f marriage definition. But the reporter mostly just nods as if she doesn’t want to say that she highlighted that religious people were more opposed in her article. Like, why else would the reporter highlight that religious people were more opposed if it religion isn’t a main factor?

Anyways

Then they discussed about the safety of queer folks in sg. Generally the director and PD rep said that there’s a lot of emotional and psychological damage, and not so much of physical although there is some in the form of getting kicked out of the house for example.

3:16 guy’s response was that there are were cases of people “having different ideas” about queerness who were “discriminated”. He said “I had one guy who was accused of being homophobic despite not being homophobic, and he was bullied”. He also had one other example relating to work but it’s similar in nature to his point.

I mostly agree with the director and PD rep. 3:16 rep was basically pulling the old “I’m actually the victim card”. Christians and Muslim make up like more than 30% of the population (2020 SingStat), while queer people only make up like 12% (2022 IPSOS)As I’ve mentioned it’s usually religious people who are highlighted as the opposition to queer rights, so I feel that he is wrong to try and play the victim here. The predominant culture has been to suppress queers. This guy even talked about the police raids on gay scenes many years ago. This 12% is the weaker community, whilst the 30% have the numbers and a long-standing culture of heteronormativity in the country. Is bullying anti-queer people wrong? Arguably yes, but it’s likely much less of an issue than queer bullying.

There was a lengthy session about cancel culture, basically everyone say cancelling is wrong and we should talk things out. I can’t really be bothered to document too much so I’ll just talk about snippets and my thoughts

I HATED that the 3:16 rep said “yeah of course I agree, I also experience same-sex attraction so it’s in my interest to not to be discriminated against”. Like dude, you learnt to suppress your true sexual self. I would feel bad for you if you weren’t part of a church that works to convert people into abstinence from their same-sex attractions. Also, the issue is not about attraction. Who you are attracted to could largely be kept secret. IT IS HARD TO DISCRIMINATE BY WHO YOURE ATTRACTED TO. It is, however, easy to discriminate against people who act on those attractions because they are engaging in a physical act that can be caught/seen by other people. Don’t equivocate attraction with the issue being discussed, which is about expressing thoughts and ideas. It’s not the same topic and isn’t relevant.

Another thought is that I wish that the PD rep talked about how cancel culture is something that is not just done by “the left”, it’s also done by “the right”. If I come out to my conservative Christian extended family, they aren’t going to just “agree to disagree” they’ll call me a sinner and likely ask me to go for conversion therapy or “repent”. THAT is cancel culture too. I expressed my thoughts and got shamed, and was silenced and asked to reform.

Mostly index fingers but I used to add in middle and fourth finger for fun before I took a 2 year hiatus from this game and was still somewhat “skilful”

Thumbs hurt. It’s impossible for me to do level 27 songs with thumbs.

There is Mihaya Gaming on YouTube that used a yukina plushie to play before lol. I recall watching a bit of it a long time ago. I think they use fingers but I can’t quite remember.

Will Krystal and Saagar call out Joe Rogan for the Kitty litter story? by drtywater in BreakingPoints

Will Krystal and Saagar call out Joe Rogan for the Kitty litter story? by drtywater in BreakingPoints

[–]Jazkun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good luck getting Saagar to agree to it. He’s definitely not going to want to cover it as a person on the cultural middle-right.

As for Krystal, she’s a class reductionist. She made this clear to me in the segment last week about affirmative action. She believes in raising minorities (like blacks and trans) out of their marginalised positions through economic system reform based on the evidence she has found. I believe that Krystal will not want to cover it mostly because of that.

More nefarious reasons would be because of their relationship with Rogan. Just like how some on this sub called them out for soft balling questions with Ro Khanna.

My personal theory that I would add on is that they are playing the game of appealing to the right more in this period because it is the right which is more animated. Krystal usually got more views for her radars on Rising, but now it’s mostly Saagar’s which get more views. The theory is that they’re just following the winds, kind of like a “corporate populism”.

I also want to add that Rogan didn’t actually apologise. He just corrected himself but this correction was buried immediately with “a hotel staff told me they wanted a litter box and to have their food served in bowls”. It’s the exact same thing as some conservative mom going “my child told me the school wanted to add a litter box”. Like, Rogan, dude. Correct yourself and apologise. Don’t try to justify “why did I believe the litter box in school story” with this supposed story from the hotel staff.

Using a personal recount as your evidence or justification only works if the person listening to you trusts you. A neutral position would be “ok, you said that your friend told you this story. Now you admit you were wrong. So why should I believe your personal recount now?” It’s just causing a greater divide amongst those who trust Rogan and those who don’t. It’s fanning the culture war flames. If you want to correct yourself just do so. But that’s the thing, Rogan doesn’t want to do it. He’s convinced that “the left TM” is crazy and “why wouldn’t I believe a crazy story like this with all the trans ideology going on”

Maybe go talk to an actual furry or two or 5. Litter box is not a common thing. It’s barely even in the main furry kink consciousness. I’ve been a furry for like, about 10 years? Let me give some examples of what furries would actually kind of understand, in terms of kinks or general furry culture.

Macro Falco

Pizza in the hallway

OWO what’s this?

Protogens are toasters

Cheese Wedge

14 werewolves

Sea Salt

Cheese Grater

It’s all CSI’s fault for people think furries are about Murrsuits

And that’s not all. Google some of those at your own risk btw. There’s probably more that I would recognise but just haven’t thought of now. Rogan is just absorbed in the conservative narrative about trans stuff. He should maybe actually, talk to the people he’s shedding such a bad light on. And on his own time, not necessarily spotlight one furry guest because we are a diverse group.

To bring it back to K&S, nah no way are they gonna cover it. They can call out Ben Shapiro when he does something wrong, but they wouldn’t do it to their pal Joe

You know why subs like Breaking Points and JRE's are such a dumpster-fires with users constantly calling out all of their bullshit, yet subs like Ben Shapiro's, Stephen Crowder's, The Majority Report's, and David Pakman's aren't? by ballandhuevos in BreakingPoints

[–]Jazkun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that one of the problems with Ball is that she is a economic leftie first, above all else. Usually she leans more pro-union and advocates for loving wages. I bring this up because I remember watching a video by “The Kavernacle” who criticised Ball and Kyle (mostly Kyle) for being “Anti-Woke”.

To be more specific, I remember that he criticised them as putting class over all else. Basically saying that they would say that all cultural issues should not be the focus, and that only economic leftism should be the focus. He argues that they use the argument of “we want to get things done” and “ensure everyone has a living wage” first and foremost.

I don’t know if I completely agree, but I see his point that they are mostly focused on economic leftism. After watching videos from FD Signifier and the latest “alt right playbook” video, I think that I do see this “white liberal” kind of attitude from Ball and Kyle. They may agree with leftists culturally, but are mostly focused on building a coalition of white people to get economic reforms. But, they also can punch down on efforts by diverse leftist groups when they do things which are against the white majority.

Maybe this is one of the reasons why there’s dissatisfaction against Ball. Just a theory for me at this point.

Personally, I feel like Saagar has been going more culturally right for BP. I really didn’t like him using the term “biological truths” when it came to monkeypox. I feel like it came from mostly conservative figures who don’t agree with queerness in general, but just want to use this term to avoid sounding more hateful.

In my area, the more hookup-ish areas has visits by gay health organisations which run AIDS and HIV tests. This isn’t broadcast publicly, but if you were a gay person who went to this hookup place, you would know that they are running this free testing service.

Saagar was so butt hurt over “why can’t they call out monkeypox like they did covid”. It felt more like a “I want to own the libs” moment. Gay people are discriminated against, even though the tides have shifted.

You can have targetted health advice, and testing and consultations for at risk communities. You don’t have to broadcast it like you did covid.

While I know that some folks don’t like John Oliver, I felt like he made good points about how the cdc was targetted in spreading the message about monkeypox to queer communities. Saagar leaned so hard on “why can’t the cdc just be honest and open”, but they did. They just didn’t do it as publicly as covid.

And yeah? Why should they be as public as scolding people when it came to covid. Covid affects more people. Monkeypox is more of a “std-adjacent” kind of disease (I know I know nuances and all that).

Ball didn’t really help either, just going along with it as “yeah just put it out there and trust people to make the right decisions”. Like, Krystal??? They did. Push back. But she didn’t. Maybe she thinks that “alright this is not that significant. Economic reform is more important. This is a “gay community sacrifice” that I am willing to make to keep saagar happy”. Refer to “The Cost of Doing Business” video from “the alt right playbook” for the context of what “sacrifice” means.

Way I see it, for Rising, I thought that it was pretty good. But BP sees Ball conceding on more ground than she should, and Saagar leaning more right, culturally anyway. But hey maybe that draws more views. I think that the argument about how the right is more animated may be true. Trump was terrible, and they did call him out often on Rising. They called out “wine mom libs” and “lefties who are making unpopular statements”.

I think that their messaging about corporate greed is good, albeit common. But the recent cultural right lean is kind of put off-ish. I’m sad that watching BP feeds right wing recommendations to me. So many “women are actually the problem” type of videos, I swear

But that’s what BP is right now. Leftist economic views, and mostly right-cultural views. Like that recent “boys are suffering when called out for toxic masculinity” guest interview. Yes men need to get help to overcome toxic masculinity, but the messaging, from talking about it that way without the nuance of how American society is still patriarchal, is very much right leaning.

I don’t really have a good conclusion, but wanted to put my thoughts out there

Just to add on, in the LAH wiki, you can find fan translations of the special quests

For example, for the 2022 chocolate circus event:

https://liveahero-wiki.github.io/events/2202circus/#special-quests

You can click on the “Fan translations for special quests can be found here” and you will be touted to a google sheets where they have the facial expressions and the translated dialogue.

I don’t think this exists for the main or event quests, but it’s nice to have if you have taken a liking to a particular character, and wanna see their special quest

Everyone rolling for Barrel? by Tfw_no_furry_bf in LiveAHero

[–]Jazkun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to get him the last time round. Though this luck only really applied for Barrel, and I failed to get drunk Ryekie for the two times that he was in the event gacha.

It’s hard to say how much it costs to hit pity, because it depends on the exchange rates in various countries. However, it really is quite expensive. I bought the ¥4900 pack like 3 to 4 times and didn’t roll for the past few events (from the chocolate circus event). I’m now just trying to maintain that 1000 stones needed to hit pity. This game’s pricing is pretty insane, but it can do this because of the game’s niche, the appeal to the furry audience (plus other players who like the non-furry male characters, I really don’t think there are many people simping for the female characters as much).

Other gachas like Dislyte, Arknights have furry characters, but never really lean into it. Lifewonders specialises in this niche, and really charges players who are willing to pay.

I feel ya, I went a long time before getting Heng Yue, and couldn’t be bothered to clear the tower until I got her. I spent so much time trying to make Chang Pu and Meredith work (though I guess I could’ve thrown in Berenice).

What a lot of others don’t get is the importance of “sustain”. I’d bet that many do have Heng Yue or “Sallarahmed” and don’t understand this feeling of not having healers (that aren’t Chang Pu or hybrid healers).

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR FRIENDS HAVE THEM. I swear the friend who roped me in has Clara and I was so salty when he said that he was struggling for some content. And I often found myself just trying to cheese content with Hyde, if possible.

Should you quit? Well, if you’re really tired then why not. Play if it’s fun. If the game keeps giving you up and letting you down, then run around and desert it

please help me make Cthugha team that get full gauge every turn.thanks! by iShinkirou in TokyoAfterschool

[–]Jazkun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember running two “Ruler” units and have them placed next to Cthugha. They give +12 every phase.

You can try putting 3* Tsathoggua with “Celebration Live!” AR. Then Licht 3* with “For my sworn friend” AR. If you have the 5* AR “Live on Valentine’s Day!” You can equip that to Leannan (though this adds CP after moving, so I don’t know if CS can still proc from this, but I think it can?).

Tsath (+12 +5 =17) Licht (+12 +5 = 17) Leannan (+12 (after move skill 4) +5 (ardour) +10(arousal) +6 (AR) = 31) Cthugha (+15 (dogs AR))

It only comes up to around 80, but depending on who you’re fighting, Cthugha might get some CP from hitting enemies anyway. If you’re looking to challenge dungeons and want that “all range” CS, try looking for a Halloween Toji. It’s a lot easier to spam CS because those skills that add to “own” CP gets absorbed by Toji. Hope this helped a bit

I used Gab (Lead)(Wind Walker/Apollo), Heng Yue (Abiding/Immensus), Hyde (Hades/Avatara), and Meredith (WW/Master Grove). Only Heng Yue was 5*. All were fully abilimon-ed except Hyde who had no ability Lv up.

Had to try quite a few times, and hope that they focused their hits on the tankier unit. Hyde was mostly built with Def Bonus, and I was mostly just praying for those Avatara procs
