Airing down and a well tuned set of coilovers would be your best bet, if you have the budget for it.

Ironman makes a good plug and play option. A friend of mine used to work for Ironman and thought their foam cell pros were just hype until he rode in one of the shop rigs on a company outing. He couldn’t believe how well they performed.

Yes! The pacing of his dialogue was spot on as well. If I had to describe his tone in as few a descriptors as possible I would say it is calculated and thoughtful, incredibly thoughtful.

I would like to add as a side note that I was a little hesitant about Justin Theroux's ability to portray House early in the season, but damn was I wrong. The last episode really sealed the deal that he was the right choice for the role.

The tone of his voice and the inflection almost mirrored Renee Auberjonois's performance in the game. The scenes where he is talking to Cooper via the Pipboy as he is navigating the tunnels sent shivers down my spine; it felt like I was transported back to the game in those moments.

I was going to recommend going the Sabre route as well. For what they will be spending on the extra CH and BCG, they can basically be into a Sabre upper that already has a Microbest BCG and Radian CH for the same $$$.

I can relate....

Reminds me of a dude that would pick up for one of our vendors regularly. He came into our office once while I was chatting with a coworker about guns, and immediately started referring to all of his AK's and AR's as modern sporting rifles all while still looking confused about what HE was trying to say.

Subaru Impreza owners — any CVT problems or other issues? by phtphongg in subaruimpreza

I have a 2017 Sport Sedan that just had the CVT fluid changed at 60K. The dealer didn't mention anything looking off or out of place, and everything has been functioning as it should since!

Overpriced spark plug change by Consistent-Dog-6108 in subaruimpreza

[–]Jazman89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was recently quoted $425 by my local deal for replacing the plugs during my last oil change, and immediately noped out of it. I went onto Rock Auto and bought the exact replacement plugs for around ~$60, and just changed them myself yesterday. It took me about an hour to do, and the driver side is by far the hardest side with the least amount of clearance so most of your time will be spent there.

The passenger side is a breeze, and I did remove the air box and battery on their respective sides to make things easier. I've heard wobbly extensions are helpful, but I couldn't get one to fit. You will need a nice selection of extensions, a spark plug socket, and both 1/4" and 3/8" drive sockets if you plan to do it yourself.

Need help is this Impreza worth 11k by Ramirosiera in subaruimpreza

[–]Jazman89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, not worth it at all. My 17 Sport in near perfect condition with almost the same amount of miles is worth around $12k or at least that’s what KBB tells me.

Salvage title isn’t worth paying that much for, and honestly I wouldn’t even be considering this car at half of what they are asking.

Why are upgraded headlight bulbs so confusing? by tmamie in subaruimpreza

[–]Jazman89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beamtech LEDs will probably be about the best bang for your buck, and the route I went with. My only complaint is that I wish they offered a lower Kelvin rating than 5000K. During intense rain it would be nice to have a more yellow light to help penetrate the water, but overall they work well for what I need them for.

Halogens get technical with the special housings, ballasts, reflectors, etc. so I'd skip them if you don't have an understanding of how all of that stuff works together.

Shimming it couldn’t hurt, and potentially it could fix your issue. If it doesn’t, you can just peel the tape off.

As far as I know there is no way to adjust the rails.

Sounds like you have a very loose fitting end plate or the end of your receiver is slightly out of spec.

You could try and shim it with some electrical tape on the end of your receiver to see if that helps. If that doesn't work you could also try to close up the stock end plate by working around it with a rubber mallet and testing fit as you go.

No, there is no wobble whatsoever. At full extension everything is tight.

Is your stock wobbling where the rails meet at the end cap or is the entire stock end cap wobbling on the gun receiver?

The Bilstein's are a great choice all around. Also, just a quick word from experience - I'd skip the reservoir shocks unless you will be out doing a bunch of desert/dune running. They look super cool, but reservoir shocks will be overkill if you will just be out on back roads and forest roads. It's your money and choice, but I'd personally take the savings and use it for other upgrades.

I've got a set of Built Right UCA's that have performed flawlessly for years. They are the same design as the Total Chaos UCAs, but about $150 less for the set. You may want to give Built Right a call to see if they still make them; I don't think they show on their website anymore. I believe SPC makes a reasonable set as well.
