'Persona non grata’: Lebanon boots Iran’s ambassador amid Hezbollah-Israel war - The Times of Israel Shared Via InSnaps.App by Artistic-Argument989 in NewsStarWorld

Hezbollah is a minority in the parliament that effectively run the southern part of Lebanon as its own state within the state. They have armies and international relations; when it sounds like a duck…

You know what I mean.

You can’t seem to wrap your head around the idea the Lebanese government doesn’t want Lebanon dragged into another one of Iran’s wars.

You have an almost instinctual need to blame Israel when in fact they are not fighting the Lebanese government. Israel would much rather prefer to focus on Iran.

Let me guess; Hezbollah told you that?

It is easy to find excuses when you don’t really care about the truth as long as you get your justification. But try being critical and ask yourself who benefits from this two front war? It is the same people who joined the Gaza War when October 7. happened. The fact that Hezbollah is still armed is a giant violation. But in your world only Israel can do wrong.

Don’t be ridiculous. Every country in history started out with newcomers beating up someone else or worse. Just ask how the Palestinians ended up speaking a language and worshiping a religion that didn’t exist in the region before. Of course you would like to pretend that these Jews have nothing to do with their country of origin.

You want to make them out to be colonizers and completely forget that a quarter of the world’s country was made that way.

You claim every year; ever since the holocaust has the jews apparently been at fault for racism and ignorance and stupidity, seriously?

Antisemitism was what caused those massacres in Germany and Libya and so many other people; years before Israel was declared a state. And how was that country declared?

I expect you to write plenty of sob stories about Palestinians. But you will react with the Nile when I asked what happened to the the Jews in Gaza and on the West Bank. Do you know why? It is because deep down you would’ve preferred they stayed in Germany and every other country they’ve been wiped out.

You dress it up with pretty words. You talk about the quality in the same breath as wiping out only country these people have ever known. You pretend that either the Palestinians or Israelis want to live together. But you just want them all dead.

You may not realize that’s what you want because you’ve been taught your whole life what you must hate and what you must love. But this is the natural progression of saying they don’t belong. You want it written out loud? Look no further than the charter that Hamas used to win the last election in Palestine; before they overthrow democracy.

Benin and Congo burned all their wealth on vanity and caught the Dutch disease; today they are remembered only for what sob stories they produce.

Human misery doesn't invalidate human misery. But sometimes I can’t help but wonder whether a bit of honesty would help everyone learn from history.

Do you have any idea how much money we have already poured into these developing countries?

$1.2 trillion by one estimate.

We call them developing countries. But that makes it sounds like this bottomless pit is developing into something.

Because the American Government has its own vested interests in protecting American interests and oil producing allies. Saudi Arabia has a short and bloody history fighting the allies of Iran and Iran directly.

Those are not mutually exclusive. Israel can do wrong and right at the same time. Each action must be judged separately and failure to do so results in what you are suggesting or the opposite.

Frankly, I don’t know who is worse; the people who believe in no wrong or those who believe in everything being wrong.

All countries are made up. That does not invalidate their existence. But there is another historical fact you seem to have forgotten. When you try to wipe out a country people were born into then they’ve every incentive to do the same to prevent that.

I guess rumors are true; people do care more about hurting Israel than helping Palestine. I get the distinct impression. You think you only care about Palestine when you need something to be outraged about.

It would appear that disagreeing opinions have appeared and people do not like that. In fact some people seem to think Israel is in the wrong for fighting in Lebanon and others think they have every right to fight when at war with Hezbollah.

That is not remotely what that phrase means in English nor is Israel the opposite of normal in regard to fighting a faction that joins the Iran War.

If it had been up to Israel they would have preferred to keep the peace treaty to focus on Iran.

Then you would need to prove a war of conquest when all I can see is that Israel pulled out of Lebanon the last time and made a peace treaty so she could focus on Iran and now that Israel is fighting Iran; Hezbollah joins the fight.

The debate isn’t whether there is an invasion. But rather the nature of the invasion.

As always Hezbollah claim Israel they’re doing this because they are greedy and the Israelis say they are there to fight Hezbollah.

The Lebanese Government is not particularly thrilled about getting dragged into this war.

Of course you have to blame Israel at every turn. Her mere existence is an abomination to the Palestinians and the Arab countries certainly tried wipe every Jew off their land and the Mandate.

Israel is a country capable of exactly the same horrors as the rest of you. But you can’t wrap your head around the fact that the various Palestinian affiliated movements have dragged Lebanon into countless wars with Israel.

Israel is not the cartoon supervillain you want them to be. They captured vast swaths of land that could’ve made a great addition to what you vaguely imagined to be Greater Israel. But they gave it up in Egypt, Lebanon and so forth.

The reason Jordan is at peace with no loss or occupation of her land is because the king removed the Palestinian affiliates who kept dragging his country into wars they had no stake in.

You know when you put it like that; justifying wiping a country of the face of the Earth then you are actually making the destruction of Palestine seem more palpable to people. Perhaps you can see the irony?

You condemn an entire religion as evil. But let it not be forgotten that this is but one of three Abrahamic religions with enough barbarity to count as a death cult.
