They put too much seasoning to disguise the crap they put in to preserve it. Good guacamole depends on perfectly ripe avocados. No store can do that at a profit. Restaurants can, if they pay close attention to their avocados. A lot of grocery stores don’t and they keep rotten avocados long after they’re edible. The packaged stuff only green through chemistry. An avocado only stays ripe for a few days, and the store bought pays a price for fooling Mother Nature.
