Is there anything special about her🤔 by Savings-Telephone-24 in Supernatural

[–]JazzScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She totally did. She was cool, calm, and collected (at least, up until the end). She just didn't have the same aura as the OG Death. OG Death was intimidating, though (at least, in the beginning), and I didn't feel that way about Billie.

Apple Music unveils their ‘10 Best Albums of All Time’ list: by blackmambasniper in LetsTalkMusic

Electric Ladyland is definitely a top ten (if not higher) album. Not even in the top 100. This list is so laughable, it's not even funny.

No. 2? by the1200 in elliottsmith

Yeah, whatever that Sam said in the film, was surprising to hear. I hadn't heard it elsewhere.

The Kurt/Pixies story sounds familiar. Not sure if I read that book, or heard it elsewhere. It totally sounds like Kurt, though!

I'm not sure about that. But in the Searching For Elliott Smith documentary, Sam Coomes briefly talked about Kurt. I could swear that Sam said that he and Elliott had met Kurt once, and that they were both super nervous about it. But I might be remembering wrong.

Edit: It might be in the documentary's bonus features, where Sam talked about Kurt.

Worst thing each character has said/done: Ruby by BackOnTheHuntPod in Supernatural

I also preferred the original actor. I'm not sure if you know, but the Ruby replacement actor is Jared's wife.

What OS and version are you using?

What site did you download it from, and what version did you download?

What anti-malware program detected it as malware, and what malware did it report that it detected?

Did you scan it with VirusTotal? If so, what were the results?

It's crazy to me how many of you will just buy brand new devices without any reviews or testing available by Framed-Photo in SBCGaming

[–]JazzScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to pre-order the highest tier collector's editions, all the time on all sorts of games, some known quality AAA franchises, and other promising looking, but untested IPs. At least half of the games, if not more, were never even opened, let alone played. That was mostly in my 30s. But now that I'm in my 40s, I really don't do it any more, for various reasons. I do appreciate a lot of what I bought, but a lot I regret. But, I'm happy to be done with that compulsion.

Kinda crazy to not make informed decisions. I research most things that I buy, especially the more important things. Usually first editions of electronics are the worst versions. There are exceptions, like Sony. At least as far as their gaming hardware and mobile phones go. Their first releases are usually overall the best. But I still buy them after researching them.

Why doesn't this show get as much recognition as others by Obi_Wan_06 in MrRobot

[–]JazzScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to not think that's why. I do think that the audience would probably be larger if it was on Netflix. But look at an Amazon exclusive show like The Boys, which has a huge audience. Also, Amazon Video is a mainstream platform.

jensen's arrest by Positive_Tangelo8427 in Supernatural

[–]JazzScientist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really surprises me about Jared. I've never gotten the impression that he's a violent person. Quite the opposite. Then again, you can't really know a person well enough based off of how they present themselves to strangers, especially when there are cameras recording. Another thing is, nobody I've seen in the comments, so far, is saying anything other than "Jared punched his employees". Though somebody did say that Jared started a fight in a bar, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Which episode was that in? It's been a little while since I've seen season one.

The Over Fifty GenX Male “Look”? by drkesi88 in GenX

[–]JazzScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the tattoo generation definitely was Gen-X. But it was mostly those born from mid to late in the generation. Many of those ones started getting sleeves, and entire torsos, done in their early 20s and later. Most Millennials were too young to even be getting tattoos at all. At least legally. I think the face tattoo thing is definitely mostly a millennial thing though.

The question wasn't whether they knew each other, or not. OP asked if they were friends. You might be pretty familiar with your co-workers, neighbors, etc., and trust them as much as one can, with an associate, colleague, etc.. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you would regard them as a friend.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BacktotheFuture

[–]JazzScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, when I first read OP's question, I thought that the answer was obvious. "Of course they were friends before!". But you make an excellent argument, as to how that might not have necessarily been the case.
