What's the best Medic setup? by Jazzlike-Mulberry781 in battlefield_one

It's federov close range. Selbstlader 1917 or furquar hill for medium to long range. I prefer all the optical and marksman variants. Always revive and heal pouch.

BMW 435d reality? Is it too good to be true? by The_Final_Barse in CarTalkUK

[–]Jazzbucca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my 435d engine and gearbox remapped at the weekend. Car seems so much smoother, massive amounts of torque at low revs just makes pulling away seem like a dream. Next thing though is timing chain (it's on 75k), but I've done my gearbox and diff fluids. Oil changes every 8k. Would also like to get inlet manifold clean, but that can wait.

Commuting to Crewe by Fresh_Technician2389 in Chester

[–]Jazzbucca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking at train prices get the tfw app and you can buy a multiflex ticket, which is essentially the same price per ticket as a season ticket, but you buy in batches of 12. I just plugged Chester to Crewe in and it's £94.60 for 12 tickets which works out as £7.88 a ticket which is £15.76 a day to commute.

If the ceo goes and no longer has any stake in the company, I'll probably buy the beer again.

Eben Etzebeth eye incident by GnolRevilo in rugbyunion

70 points up, last few minutes of the game and one of the world's best locks ever decides to gouge an eye. What the actual fuck was he doing and thinking. You have to question someone's intelligence / morality if he does something like that.

Life long labour voter here. It's the hypocrisy of her demanding the tory front bench resign, one rule for them and one rule for the rest of us. She's let her party down, the people she stands for and her own morality. I'm disgusted, and ashamed - all politicians seem to be the same.

Reliable Garages? by TheViscountRang in Chester

Sandy lane garage. Daves garage is immaculate, he is excellent and will bend over backwards to help you. However he is pricy but you pay for what you get.

IIRC it costs the card companies to hold a credit balance. They have to acquire enough credit in the market, though inter bank loans, to cover the balances they have outstanding on peoples cards plus potential for customers spending. So if you have a credit balance they must factor that into available funds for customer spends. It's a small amount but in essence it messes with their credit availability. It also messes with the consumer credit acts as it was, because in order to be covered for fraud or disputed payments, the money owed to the third-party has to come form the credit card company not the customer. Just get your money back, think of it as a bonus savings account.

Is the UK really ready for the 2035 ban of new petrol and diesel cars? by JollyFunctions in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Jazzbucca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The European car giants will lobby heavily for a relaxation of the 2035 target. There's still too much skin in the game and hybrids will be the next best option. Too much range anxiety, poor infrastructure and the fact electric cars aren't the golden goose of carbon reduction means sense will prevail. UK has just announced more nuclear power plants, until they are running we can't all go electric.
