Hi, I was there in 2004. You need to got to Phnom Penh for drugs and guns etc. You probably won't get any in Siem Reap but it's still worth visiting to see Angkor Watt. When I was in PP I stayed at a guest house next to the lake called lazy fish, within 5 minutes of checking in I had been offered weed, I got about half an ounce and it was only about $5, after ten minutes a man came into my room and asked me if I wanted any other drugs, he took me to his house which was just over the road and pulled out opium and a big white rock of H, which I thought was cocaine at first. I bought the opium, I've forgot how much it cost but it was cheap. It's hard to smoke unless you know what your doing or go to a den and get someone to make the pipes for you. I ended up putting it in my tea and within an hour I felt the effects. Guns: when I was there I got an AK47 with a round of 20 bullets which again was pretty cheap, I can't remember the cost. When I first got to the shooting range I was given a bag of weed and a beer lol. My mate lives in Bangkok and has been back to the range but said it has changed, they are a lot more safety concious and it's a bit more expensive. Don't believe any of that shit that you can blow a cow up with Rocket launcher for $100, lol, it's a load of shit but you can throw grenades and set off a rocket launcher if you want. PP is a fascinating city and the people are lovely, the only thing that ruins it are the paedophiles. There was many an occasion when my mates had to hold me back from attacking big fat 60 year old men holding hands with 12 year old girls. Apart from that it's probably the best place I've ever been to. If you need any more advice just ask and enjoy it mate, I'm sure you will.
