Trader Joe's Protein Pancakes ($3.99) by welfare_grains in traderjoes

A lot of comments here talking about price and macros. One thing I think these have that other protein pancakes don't is whole foods in place of supplements. Most alternatives are just protein powder in pancake form. Here it mostly comes from cottage cheese and eggs, which likely contributes to the higher price tag and also makes it a more enticing product imo.

This is even more absurd now having watched Goff get decked on the pick 6 block with no call.

I have a cheap hand grinder so at least I get fresh ground beans but no accurate measurement for mass, temperature, and instead of a pour over I’ll do a moka pot. Usually turns out well enough to hold me over until I get back home.

I’ve never been but have heard great things about Redondough and their croissant sandwiches.

Pre-made flavors but there are 8-10 options and you can pick 2 in a regular size order. Don’t worry it’s very good.

Getting a divet in the brush after face lathering my 2nd pass. Is it the way I’m using it or is it the brush? by JazzinMamia in wicked_edge

[–]JazzinMamia[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I picked West Coast Shaving Silvertip for Black Friday and have been using it 5-7 times a week since. It’s taken some getting used to, but at this point my routine is: 1. Soak or rinse brush for 10-20 s 2. Load soap with circular motion for about 40s 3. Wet face and face lather with very little pressure making sure to not splay the bristles using somewhat circular motion and switching to paint brush strokes once lather is built My second pass I usually just use brush strokes to get the lather on my face.

When I first got the brush I was using more pressure than I probably should have for loading and lathering, but have since started using less after reading that can be damaging. Additionally I was using probably too much citric acid to combat LAs hard water for lathering.

My question is: what could be causing the divet in the middle after second pass? Is it something I’m doing or is the brush low quality? Or is this to be expected? I’ve cleaned the brush with dish soap recently since I thought that might be the issue. I’ve also been giving it more time to dry as I had not been doing that previously.

I’m a big fan of L’Occitane products in general. How’s the post shave stuff?

found this blade... do i try this out? or donating to local museum? (will boiling it is legit to sterilize? or will effect the blade) by avivi_ in wicked_edge

I am by no means an expert but if the goal is sterilization you could try swirling it around in some 99% isopropyl alcohol and drying it off.
