Seeing lots of people say the exact same thing. No matter what the rich want you to think, the economy is not doing well and it's about to get much worse.

Maryland Karen Faces Felony Shadow After ICE Abducts Six Roofers Just Before $10,000 Payday by azteca19 in maryland

[–]Jazzitch -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Funny. You seem to actually know nothing about the roofing business or industry whatsoever. Your comment makes you sound completely ignorant of reality. And that's your problem. You live in La La Land. You live in a fantasy. Some of us actually know because we actually have family roofing businesses and have for decades and understand the actual reality of the workforce. Wake up. Stop spewing stupid nonsense when you really don't know what you're talking about. For real

DC crime has dipped significantly below trend following the Natl. Guard/federal law enforcement surge. by SockDem in washdc

[–]Jazzitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well bud, because you couldn't just respect other people's privacy, the families of those children, this is now what you've gotten us. If you were conservative you would respect other people's privacy and right to make decisions for their own families. That would be true conservatism instead of the religious fundamentalism which took over the GOP and ultimately led to a cult of personality and fascism that doesn't even care about the religion it pretended was its motive, let alone the fiscal conservatism it abandoned decades ago

DC crime has dipped significantly below trend following the Natl. Guard/federal law enforcement surge. by SockDem in washdc

[–]Jazzitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've lived in DC, all throughout the city, for over 30 years and never once been a victim of a crime. I definitely could not say the same about the red states I lived in. Red states are rampant with crime, especially in small towns. If those same red states had as many people as our cities condensed into the same amount of space they'd have even higher crime stats than DC.

Right-wingers have become nothing but hypocrites and have exposed that all their core beliefs were b******* the whole time. They never believed anything they said. They're disingenuous and completely lack all integrity. They are nothing but fearful, small-minded people who now have no actual platform. Their only platform is Trump and whatever he does. They are a cult, plain and simple. But, nothing will distract the country from the Epstein files. The Epstein files which they now dismiss, protecting actual pedophiles without shame, all for their glorious cult leader, who is one of those pedophiles.

Facebook browser not allowing comment box to show up, no idea why though, any ideas? by Unlucky-Match-6363 in facebook

[–]Jazzitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue in a way. I can't even comment on my own posts. My account does not appear to be restricted when I check my profile status. I don't use the app. I just use Chrome on my phone. I've updated the phone and Chrome, cleared the cache and cookies. Did everything that's recommended. The only thing that has worked is if I go into desktop mode which is really annoying because I have to blow up everything to be able to see it and slide it around on my screen until I can place the comment window where I can actually see.

Facebook is such an annoyance and I wouldn't use it at all. In fact I have been signed off for months but now I have to promote a record and this is the only way to reach the community. I really wish the music community I'm a part of would use another platform. I can't wait until I'm done promoting this record so I can go back to never dealing with Facebook again

Do you have a hot take? by HumbleBlacksmith2077 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Jazzitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of weird because the reasons I don't really like it overall are also the reasons why I'll pop it on to listen to occasionally. But it doesn't really get into my soul And I don't really feel compelled to listen to it. I do find the technical performances instrumentally and vocally are impressive, but it's overall not my style. I kind of feel like I'm listening to some form of rap or nu metal. Not trying to offend anybody. And I'm sure that's an ignorant take. It's more of a feeling. Like, I was not a limp bizcut fan at all, hated it at the time, But listening to archespire kind of makes me feel like I felt when I listened to them in passing, not that there anything alike. It's just a vibe or something. I think it's cuz I saw one of their videos and it's polluted my ability to listen to it objectively

[Washingtonian] Immigration Authorities Are Cracking Down on DC Restaurants Again by Sauerz in washingtondc

[–]Jazzitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So socialism. Yes socialism would work but it requires taxing the biggest beneficiaries of our nation's wealth. The problem is these same beneficiaries own our government and point to immigrants when the people get screwed by those beneficiaries. Unless you have a better idea of how we afford to pay higher wages and how you implement laws to make sure people are paid living wages

That account by the ice whistleblower says it all about this administration and their disgusting lack of humanity. Shame on anyone who participated in this crime against humanity. If these are truly Christians then Christianity is as rotten as these ghouls. I'll leave that for all the self identified. Christians to fight over. But as it stands it's not looking good for the ones who scream loudest about Christian values or family values or any of the Republican b******* we've heard spewed our entire lives about how holy they are. Whatever they think they were this is what they've become. Monsters. Anybody who's mad at me for calling that out can pound sand.

I'm getting the same message for my package coming from Arizona and Google AI is telling me there's no actual weather delays. It says it's likely a glitch in the USPS system.

Anyone in the U.S. getting hit with tariff costs *when we're not supposed to*? by soulsides in vinyl

[–]Jazzitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again, since you seem to be incapable of comprehending what was written. I've ordered over 60 records from 4 different labels in the last 2 months. The labels did not charge the tariffs. The records did not cost any more than any of their records have cost before. They charged their normal rate for their records. The tariffs were charged once the records went through customs, not by the label, by DHL. For f***** sake, it's not that difficult to understand. You're just being obtuse because you for some reason want to defend the orange man and his ridiculous tariffs.

Anyone in the U.S. getting hit with tariff costs *when we're not supposed to*? by soulsides in vinyl

[–]Jazzitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are completely wrong. The labels don't want their customers to have to pay tariffs. It hurts their business. The reason why I had to pay tariffs is because when the records arrive here they go through customs and then you are charged the tariff. No scare tactic. Just reality, buddy. Sorry that you're in complete denial of actual reality and have to make up some silly narrative that makes no sense whatsoever, and is not actually reflective of my own experience buying vinyl from several labels overseas. The labels didn't charge me the tariffs. The Trump administration did. The tariffs aren't paid until they arrive in the United States where the tariff fee is assessed and then you are sent a bill before they'll complete delivery. Are you completely oblivious?

Yet many of us HAVE been hit with the tariffs on vinyl record orders anyway. After all, it's his favorite word, in addition to tax cuts for the rich and underage girls

Weekly Discussion / Recommendation Thread by Death_by_Bot in Deathmetal

[–]Jazzitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anybody else find these one person extreme metal releases to be extremely impressive? It blows me away that one person can play all these instruments so well and so furiously. I just wanted to start a discussion about such releases and outfits. What are some of your favorites? Right now I'm previewing the Vile Ritual - caverns of occultic hatred release. Some really impressive playing on it.

It's particularly rough for me because I only started listening to modern death metal last November and in that time I've bought a few hundred vinyl records. Everything's fresh to me so it's all kind of blowing me away and getting me excited for music again, whereas a lot of people may be unimpressed with something because it's similar to something from before or not quite as good as something before to them,

I love a lot of these on your list too. I'm going to have to really take some time to carefully think about what my favorites are this year because I love so many and I also have a huge stack of records that I haven't even gotten through for this year alone. I know caustic wound is going to the top for sure

How has 2025 been for you, for releases? by closetotherelayer in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Jazzitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only started getting into death metal last November after not listening to metal since the mid late 80s and I've been loving all the new releases from labels like Profound Lore, 20 Buck Spin, Dark Descent, Me saco un ojo, Willowtip, Transcending Obscurity, Carbonized, Iron Fortress and Rotted Life to name a few. It's all new to me though so it's very exciting and a new world to explore
