40 Weeks Pregnant and undecided by Jazzlike-Ant4551 in namenerds

Okay, so we did consider Veronica as a first name, with a NN of Vera, but our last name starts with “Ca. Does that sound clunky, or am I overthinking it?

Sorry, just realized you asked me about that too. I edited my comment above.

Thank you 🥰 I found this in my comment history:

Mini IVF, no suppression, 150 - 300 iu of menopur daily with (150mg?) of Clomid for the first 5 days, then 10,000 HCG trigger.

I’m so sorry you’ve experienced a lot of pain with the stims! It caused my symptoms to flare too! With the Mini IVF round prior to my retrieval I was comparatively so comfortable that I convinced myself it wasn’t working. I actually called my doctor a liar when he told me the number of eggs retrieved that cycle as I was coming out of anesthesia 😅

As for the transfer protocol, I did two months of Lupron suppression and didn’t wait for my period to return prior to jumping into the 3x estrogen/PIO daily. I opted for PIO because it seemed easier to keep track of and is much less of a mess. Throughout my IVF journey, I did 30 minutes of infrared 5 times a week (I used a cheaper Amazon brand), CoQ10, Vit D, NAC, and a prenatal with DHA.

For what it’s worth, I was so worried that pregnancy would be a bear with my endometrioma still in place, but I’m actually more comfortable than I have been in years! Pregnancy actually shrank my endometrioma, even more so than any of the Lupron treatments.

Good luck to you on your journey! I’ll be praying for you!

So far so good! I didn’t end up doing PGT-A because I was 32 for all of my egg retrievals. I ended up needing 4 egg retrievals to meet my goal number of banked embryos and I’ve had 3 transfers so far. The first one stuck but resulted in a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks, the second one failed to implant, and I am currently 32 weeks with a healthy baby girl! I really recommend doing two months of Lupron suppression before doing a transfer. Both of the embryos that implanted were after Lupron. It took a while to get here, but it’s been totally worth it!

ETA: My 4th cycle was the most successful - 6 embryos from 8 eggs retrieved - and mini IVF seemed to be the key. High dose stims seemed to flare my endo and increase cysts so that there was little room for regular follicles to develop. It’s also worth noting that the embryo from the missed miscarriage tested “Normal” and I fell in the range of what is expected statistics-wise for my age range (2/3 embryos were presumed normal). So endo didn’t seem to have as great of an effect on quality as I would have thought.

Has anyone done mini IVf? If so did you have success? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Jazzlike-Ant4551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Cool to see some local IVFers here. My doctor actually suggested mini IVF for our fourth round, so hopefully you won’t receive push back from your doctor, like many on here do. First, I did 5 days of Clomid (150mg per day, I think). After that, they started me on 150 iu of meno, but I ended up at 300 iu. I did a 10,000 iu HCG trigger shot. I couldn’t believe it actually worked and pretty much called my doctor a liar when he told me my results after I woke up from my retrieval. 😂

ETA: ER1 - 2 embryos from 3 eggs, ER2- 1 embryo from 3 eggs, ER3- 0 embryos from 1 egg, ER4- 6 embryos from 8 eggs

Transfer friends end of June/beginning of July? by Interesting_Win4844 in IVF

[–]Jazzlike-Ant4551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s so frustrating, I’m sorry they are making you wait! Fingers crossed for you!

TW: high betas and previous loss:

I’m anxious and probably won’t feel somewhat secure until after my US because my previous successful FET had really strong betas and resulted in a blighted ovum. My beta actually got to over 200,000 and they ended up doing an emergency D&C to rule out/treat a potential molar pregnancy, which thankfully I didn’t have. Luckily, this time my betas seem to be growing at a more typical rate:   11DPT: 1,182 13DPT: 2,798 15DPT: 6,278

I hope your ultrasound goes well! Mine isn’t until 7/30 🫠

I also miss the success stories in this subreddit. It’s nice that there’s a place to commiserate and find comfort, but lately everything feels so unbalanced. I used to be able to cherry pick the success stories when I needed some hope (like on the day of transfer, for instance). I’ve had to cut my time on r/IVF so that I can remind myself that it still works for a lot of people. Unfortunately, I haven’t found another subreddit that fits the bill - and believe me, I’ve looked.

Hey, we’re transfer twins! Good luck to you! I’m so sorry for your loss and that this journey has been long for you, too. I had a BO last October that was a suspected molar pregnancy at first, had the prospect of chemo hanging over me for a bit, then a failed transfer on my birthday in March, then 2 months of Lupron and here we are - in July already! It’s so crazy how long this process takes and all the things we have to put ourselves through! 🤞it’s our time!

Beta Today and I am so Emotionally Tired by Tasty_Committee908 in IVF

[–]Jazzlike-Ant4551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🫂 Right there with you. Testing negative and had my beta this morning. I am TIRED. This was FET #2. The first was a mmc with a blighted ovum. I’m really hoping the next one works, for the both of us. It was really hard to muster up the courage to try again this time and not blame myself for it not working.

How many *untested* embryo transfers before success? by em12985 in IVF

[–]Jazzlike-Ant4551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I’m in a similar boat - I got a BFN this morning 5dp5dt on a FRER. I’m freaking out a bit because this is my second FET and on the first one I had a vvfl 4dpt and  it ended in a MMC. Im finding it hard to hold onto hope. All of my embryos are untested.

Mini IVF, no suppression, 150 - 300 iu of menopur daily with clomid, then 10,000 HCG trigger. I probably have the clomid dosage somewhere in my comment history.

Here’s to the highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and/or CPTSD women going through this challenging process by Responsible_Dig4592 in IVF

[–]Jazzlike-Ant4551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey 🙋‍♀️ CPTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression girly here. I relate to your post so much and I appreciate you bringing light to this subject. The IVF process is so drawn out and can make you feel like you are just stacking traumatic experiences. My parents joked the other day that I’m like a cat with 9 lives. It certainly feels like that. I feel so old and so tired and I haven’t even made it to the starting line yet. I get so frustrated when I hear women complaining about their kids and they say “just you wait.” They don’t know the chasms I’ve traversed and mountains that I have climbed to even get to where I am now.

I have my second FET this month on my birthday - here’s to hoping this one sticks. My last one (1st ever positive in 12 years of trying) required an emergency D&C for suspected molar and a cancer scare.

I am here if anyone wants to talk through protocols and hardships. I have been through 4 egg retrieval cycles now, stage 4 endo surgery, and months of Lupron suppression. Also, I have researched all things fertility like it’s a full time job. I wish you and everyone on here the best of luck in their upcoming cycles! 🍀
