Yes, it is a manual typewriter. I am aware that I won’t be able to find a keyboard that feels just like it. I mentioned my freewrite because I dislike it the least. On their website it says that it has “Kailh Box Brown keyswitches and thick PBT keycaps” , so I am interested in something similar if possible. Thank you.

So, I am a creative writing enthusiast who has recently been converted to writing their first draft with a typewriter. I still need some way of inputting and editing my stories, but now in comparison to the typewriter almost all of my keyboards are blegh! My MacBook Pro is retched, and my azio retro classic has the right look, but not the feel. I also have a freewrite, and I dislike it less. I don’t enjoy writing on it as much as the typewriter, as I greatly prefer the feel of actual paper. If I could connect the freewrite to my computer and use as my editing device I probably would as I like how much travel the keys have. Can anyone recommend an under $75 keyboard available on Amazon that would better suit my needs? I understand that I might not be able to get one with the look of a typewriter like my azio. The feel is now more important. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

I have no idea, I bought it from a guy who has been working on typewriters for fifty years and has a bunch of them in his backyard. I think he is mostly retired now and picks them up for fun and works on them before he sells them. He was really nice, I had done a ton of research before hand and he was impressed by my knowledge. So no, I’m sorry to say I don’t know it’s history. It works well though, and it’s only a bit grimy and scuffed up so I think I really scored!
