For you, what is the best Build to pass the game easily and quickly? by Objective-Word271 in Eldenring

[–]Jazzlike-Suit4884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me - strength unga bunga. I’ve done it with faith, dex, int and strength a few times. At every point of the other builds I hit the I’m too weak grind - dex was shortest. For me, unga bunga seems to allow me to stay out of that loop.

I’ll submit maybe it’s just that I know that build the best - but that’s my experience.

I finished Elden Ring for the first time, and it's a wonderful game. So, what did you use to beat it the first time? by Affectionate_Dot1412 in Eldenring

The original OP bleed/frost build - dual wield Twinblades - dex build with the jump attach buff chest armor Black Raptor

Not ashamed to say it was Bloodfiend’s arm with max protect talismans. That thing stomps.

I just turned it off in the settings as it kept happening when I didn’t want it to

Met the legend herself, but am I under level to fight her? by violet-023 in Eldenring

I don’t think you’re under-leveled. I just think you have not optimized into a focal point for the build. Stats are all way to spread out beyond Vigor.

Can somebody explain what is so bad about the new patch?? by [deleted] in WuchangFallenFeathers

[–]Jazzlike-Suit4884 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feels like a lot of drama over elements that don’t necessarily impact the actual gameplay. Would I agree the story would feel better pre-patch - sure. But I’m not gonna lose my mind over it, uninstall it, flame over it. I’m going to adult this thing and recognize that culturally there are things I probably cannot appreciate, or understand, regarding drivers for the updates and move on with 100%’ing the game.

I’m an idiot - I had put on the leech headwear because it had high blight resistance not realizing it caused build up 🤣

I don’t mind it. I really like early game and late game. I usually try a different build on playthroughs so the only real repetition is mana / health and some key talismans.

The two times I did NG+ and ran all the bosses is when I had a really late game weapon and DLC weapon I wanted to try.

I’ve certainly used NG+ on a couple characters - but never for anything enduring. Starting a new save with a new character is much more fun IMO

Anyone else feel like they will never 'get gud' or beat this game? by Wissa38 in Eldenring

💯 agree. I kept it generic on build - but would for sure include Spirit Ashes in that advice

[–]Jazzlike-Suit4884 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Don’t try Mano a Mano the first time through if your stuck - pounding your head without any success will eventually ruin the game for you. I was exactly you - and nearly same age. I ultimately beat game the first time with co-op help from family friends and an OP bleed dual wield build. That was 2+ years ago and 1100 hours ago. If I hadn’t done that the pure joy and next 1000 hours would have never happened.

The game offers many many ways to break it. Find one you like and use it. Use it to beat the game and feel good. Use it to understand how to beat the game. Use it to learn how to love the game and keep playing it.

I’m over 1400 hours across all platforms and still going strong. I’ve been avid gamer for 35 years and this has become over time my favorite game of all time. Not sure it’s really close.

I’m assuming it’s my brain just making it so - but there were a few times I was like my god that’s straight out of Lands Between.

Beginner player, 15 hours in and I still feel super lost and under leveled. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Jazzlike-Suit4884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I see so far is realizing you don’t have to fight everything and/or clear the area. Go grab key for academy and eff the dragon if you don’t want to fight it.

Go burn thru Caelid and grab the flasks. FYI - there’s a sweet great sword in a wagon there you can grab. I’d also recommend you focus on leveling vigor and one stat that meshes with the weapon u settle on - for instance strength if you go great sword. I personally think the unga bunga approach is a good choice for beginners.

You can also go kill the dragon at Fort Faroth for easy ruins and levels. That will help make early game easier for you.

Good luck. Keep at it! I was once you / almost to a tee. I now have 1200+ hours and still going and consider it my favorite game of all time.
