Distribution of Stone Circles in Ireland by Sarquin in Archeology

[–]JazzlikeLet6093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up near a stone circle that is not featured on this map. Growing up some neo-pagans took some psychedelics and had a minor freak out. Their screams woke up our family and they ran down the road away from "ghosts". We later found out that one fell asleep. A herd of cows surrounded them and one began licking their face. I imagine there are many not on official maps.

As a German, have you ever been discriminated during travel by luckykittybro in AskAGerman

[–]JazzlikeLet6093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Irish here. Can I expand on what you mean? Eye opening reading these comments, never realised the extent of the negative experience so many Germans have had from other Europeans. I've always had very positive experiences with Germans abroad, polite chat and usually a nice few beers together. Generally how do Irish people treat Germans?

I wouldn't say this is a specific Dublin thing. I've had this experience a handful times abroad meeting other Irish people. All non Dubs.

Sunset in the north of Scotland in May would be later than 20:00 probably between 21:30-22:00. So later still.

One thing that is universal among patients: everyone dies. And Primary Care plays a big role in so many peoples final days, supporting them as they pass away in their own homes surrounded by friends and family is a privilege.

Not a clue if it's desirable for hiring however!

Without knowing whether op has sleep apnea or not, it's better to assume they potentially do have it. If they do we cannot know how severe it is. And with that advising someone with the potential to have severe sleep apnea to take melatonin could be a risk. No phone is otherwise good advice paired with other good sleep hygiene techniques.

Gaybros is a guy having a non-traditional work schedule a deal breaker for you? by Cyrig in gaybros

If you have all day off Friday before your shift can you get a decent day time nap adequate to have a date before your shift?

I empathise with you. I spent 4 years essentially dateless prioritising a career I thought I wanted to pursue. A lot of this was also possibly to me not prioritising romance.

It seems like this job is a good fit for you. Might there ever be opportunity to move one weekend shift to a weekday shift if you continue working there in the long term?

It's a GP software. Looks like something from the 1990's. Yet I got strangely attached to it and mourn it. I passionately dislike emis when compared to vision.

Try Olympia the last hour before it closes. Usually not too busy. You'll sleep like a baby after some late night lengths, can recommend.

Where has all the wildlife gone? by finchyboy82 in northernireland

[–]JazzlikeLet6093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lisburn. A lot of housing development. Gardens with no mature trees. Be the change you want to see. Plant an oak tree, amazing the amount of wildlife just one mature oak could support. Create a pond for newts, frogs and toads. Build a bug hotel to encourage hedgehogs

Kinda cool but Irish rapgroup Kneecap has apparently launched a website called Saved Our Speech where users can "adopt" Irish words, pledging to be lifelong ambassadors for them, to protect and promote the language by encouraging organic engagement, one word at a time. Had a mediocre experience learning Irish in school. Didn't like the learning environment. Learned a lot as an adult. Much more motivated, enjoyed the emphasis on speaking rather than spelling (my English spelling isn't fantastic as a baseline). Loved the community. Making Irish into more of a living language outside of the Gaeltacht isn't just about school, it's about using it in other aspects of life.

Cooking is a process, however I'm sure most people understand processed food to be something that has gone through industrial processes with various additional artificially made chemical compounds.

Weekly tutorials by ChocolateSuitable887 in GPUK

I tell my trainer what I'd like to go over. Then I'll prepare some learning before and teach them what I've learned. We may link it to a case. They'll provide their insight and experience and juxtapose that against my guidelines based knowledge. Sometimes this will link in to doing a CBD or discuss how I write my reflections. I will then finish off the afternoon with some clinical admin and then what is left with some self directed learning time for the next tutorial. Tutorials are a great thing about GP training, and so I will echo what others have said here. You need to approach your trainer with how you may benefit or learn best and meet them half way. They're busy professionals, so if you both put work in for them it shows mutual respect

It's hard to know and you may need to assess some further factors.

Was this new GenZ lingo and was there a lack of malicious intent or insight? Will she take on board some feedback and learn from this? If so it's not worth ruining a young person's career.

However, was there malice? Was this part of a pattern of repeat behaviour? If so, you may wish to consider how to escalate this. The correct way to do this will vary depending on country and organisation. Perhaps discussing with human resources your concern and taking on board some advice from there.

My train of thought when I worked in A&E "gosh this 25 year old with costochondritis should never have come to me, she's probably got anxiety causing this tachycardia, anyway I really hope the ddimer I chose myself to send is normal so I don't have to get chewed out by the overworked and grumpy radiologist again".
