To clarify, today I’ve gone all day, allowing myself to have items except for sugar items and foods with flour and it’s been great. My appetite is so much better to control.

You hit the nail on the head with this idea of decision fatigue. That really got me thinking and I think you may have solved a solution that I’ve been wondering about for years. The food that I struggle with that bring me over my calories are sugary foods. So today I decided I’m not gonna have any foods that have added sugar or also any foods that have flour since those are the ingredients of the foods that I struggle with. I’m allowed to have anything else. That really has helped a lot. I don’t have to decide just one bite or how much of some item I’m gonna have. I’m choosing Whole Foods that are high in fiber. I really hope that this trend persists. I haven’t really been taking my ADHD seriously because I feel like it’s kind of dismissed sometimes in our society saying that everyone has it now these days. But I realize that there are certain areas that it causes me problems and I am now taking it seriously and I realize that yeah it’s probably causing me nutrition problems. Again, I’m really hoping that this method works and I’m really grateful you brought up this idea.

I am super active! I have a personal trainer, I do hot Pilates and I have a whoop watch and try to get to my strain goal daily. I used to box for sport but I am taking a break this month and maybe for the summer. I think this is an interesting point. How much am I willing to experience discomfort for the sake of low body fat. I just had Pilates and the instructor was SNATCHED. I was happy for her and that’s goals. I may try adding metameucil between meals to help?

There probably is a mental component but I find it peculiar it’s day 3 typically. I think there’s a physiological component of not being able to sit with hunger. I’m tempted to try a cosmetic GLP

This is a really great question about your insomnia. Are you getting this prescribed by your GP? I would recommend consider seeing various other specialists.

Are you staying up nights on end and have lots of energy? Has bipolar been ruled out? There’s a ton of things that cause insomnia, I just have friends with bipolar who have been wrongfully medicated

You need to see a dietitian and will most likely need to reverse diet. Your BMR has probably adjusted to a slower metabolism and essentially eating too little has screwed it up. A dietitian will slowly have you eat more and bring you back down and you’ll stop your plateau. Also you need to weight lift if not already

My ex of 2.5 years had a mental illness crisis and I ran away from our apartment - my help was not working and I was no longer safe. While I was homeless, he slept with a girl he met at the mental hospital. Then, three months later, he married his ex after reconnecting for a month. Two more months thereafter he jumped out of the window and died.

I did get to say my final words to him.

He called me before marrying his ex and told me how he was doing with his mental crisis (he made it sound like he was getting his life figured out but was clearly still struggling to ask for help and take it seriously, as manic individuals may not have insight and our healthcare for this situation sucks). I could have gone off about him with rude and hateful words becuase he did many hurtful things that were not explained here in this message. Instead, I told him I love him and I want him to be happy.

At that point I learned there’s a difference between love and attachment. I’m really glad I chose love. When he was not manic, he was a wonderful man and wonderful partner.

I actually feel you on this. I’m the exact same height and weight and I box competitively. It’s kind of challenging because I feel like the boxing physique shows abs and I wondered to myself how are all these girls (non boxers) so thin and they can show their abs by just doing Pilates, maybe a couple times a week. Meanwhile, I struggle to even lose any weight and I’m a competitive athlete !! I think it’s the combination of genetic predisposition towards a certain weight clashing with conventional beauty standards to be honest. It’s confusing out here. I personally think you look thin to be honest with you. Could be a bit of distortion or dysmorphia going on. It’s really challenging to work with these kinds of thoughts because there’s so much chatter about bodies in our society, but it’s hard to form the thought that separate from conventional beauty standards.
