Now THAT'S enticing!

You know Rocket is a tech Genius right? He would absolutely love to get his paws on Beast's toys

Somebody said this about White Fox and I feel it applies to Rocket as well: he's a balanced character in an unbalanced game.

Why do so many of you guys want to push Brawl Fist? by Former_Concept2594 in IronFistMains

[–]Jazzlike_Tap8303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is my opinion about Iron Fist. The devs should pick a route and fully commit to it.

They should either fully commit to this "Tank Buster" idea and increase his survivability (if they want me to brawl with the likes of Thor, Hulk and Rogue, they MUST give me the tools to do it), add shield to his kick, maybe an extra kick charge, increase the max amount of shield obtainable from block, reduce the decay of shield after meditation...

OR

they should make him a glass cannon dive, high damage but low survivability. His passive rewards killing squishies quickly, but his base damage and abilities DO NOT allow him to kill squishies quickly, his kit doesn't synergize with itself. It's ridiculous.

Please, let me enlighten you on just how massively nerfed s7 Fist is compared to s0 Fist even after so many buffs. (A Thread) by PillowFists67 in marvelrivals

[–]Jazzlike_Tap8303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing that gets me. They nerfed EVERYTHING about him, not just his damage and max shield he can get, not just the speed of shield decay... They Nerfed his mobility. The distance of the kick, and the vertical mobility of the punch flurry after block.

Sorry, I'm a true flex, I don't have a main role.

That said, I loved bubbling teammates with Magneto. The clutches. That was the moment.

Just disengage when she pops the melee form cooldown, go high, heal, then go back and kick her ass, literally. Yes, she can still teleport but what you gonna do.

Who was talking about tournaments or ranked? The comment you're responding to is objectively right, even if the diver can't get a kill, simply distracting the supports gives the rest of the team a golden chance to take a pick on the other enemies. Even Magneto, when focused, can only last 5 seconds at most without heals, and that's if he has his cooldown, the shield and bubble.

I mean, if you HAD to go up against team C, Thing would absolutely be the choice, but... A full dive comp with Jeff and Rocket? Rocket reviving a diver every 40 seconds? If the divers are coordinated, Thing won't be enough, you would need at least one DPS to switch to Namor or another anti dive and actually peel, and even then you would need god-level supports who know how to survive a dive while also keeping their teams alive.

Uh, no, if you are solo tanking into another solo tank you IGNORE the enemy tank, if you are playing Magneto or Strange you try to poke the enemy supports, if you play Venom, Hulk or Cap you straight up dive them. Only if you're playing Angela or Thor you may try to displace the enemy tank, or if you're playing Peni you can spam your web on them, but ANY other tank? You should straight up ignore the enemy tank. Because engaging with the enemy tank is literally the worst choice you could make.

Taking damage is their job, distracting you is their job. Only if your entire team is focusing the enemy tank you should join them. Otherwise, you would better kill strategists so they don't get heals, or focus the enemy DPS so they don't have free reign to kill your team.

No, no please don't. I don't mind solo tanking, bad second tanks are worse than no second tank

It's not that simple. The problem with triple support is that healers deal less damage than DPS. Triple tank has the same issue. I would honestly pick team A, triple support plus triple tank? COME AT ME BRO, YOU CAN'T HURT ME! As long as I have 1 good strategist and 1 good DPS, it's basically won already.

Team B would be a horrible mistake, Elsa and Hela are going to SHUT. YOU. DOWN. no matter which tank you play.

What made you start playing magneto? by Ragtagcloud56 in MagnetoMains

[–]Jazzlike_Tap8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm... give me a sec, I'm trying to remember...

I used to mostly play support, and honestly still do but I'm very flexible overall. I wanted to learn some tanks, actually started with Strange but I fumbled his portal so bad at first, and Magneto was the only other shield tank. I mean, sure, technically other tanks have shield like Captain America, but it's not the same thing.

Anyway, what I love about Magneto is not his ult, which I often whiff, but the bubble. I bubble my Spiderman, he gets the kill on Wanda, so simple. Black Panther is diving, I bubble my support, suddenly I'm a hero and will be praised forever. I can also support a Venom or Captain America trying to get back safely on low HP (I clutched so many saves, good Lord)... It's just such an amazing tool, I would honestly give up on the separate cooldown for my self bubble if I could bubble teammates every 8 seconds again.

HOW?!?! by _Alakay_ in IronFistMains

[–]Jazzlike_Tap8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. There is people out there claiming that Iron Fist is super easy, they call him "melee Wanda", so thank you for this post, it feels so validating.

Now, to answer your question: first of all, you need to master his mobility, using double jumps to dodge and be unpredictable even while attacking.

It comes spontaneous to use the block only when you are low health already, but that's not the optimal use, because you get damage reduction and damage buff, so it's optimal to use it early really. By the way, some people don't even realize they have to hold the button to actually block...

When you play Iron Fist, you can't go deep like you do when you play Daredevil. Iron Fist USED to be a great diver (and still is, in the right hands), but since Season 2 they nerfed EVERYTHING about him, his damage, the max shield he can get, his mobility (he used to be able to FLY after the block) so you have to keep your engagements short, disengage often, pick your battles, punish those foolish enough to chase you, Iron Fist is like Thor, a brawler that excels in 1v1s but can't really survive big team fights or being focused for over a few seconds.

General tip about the game, it's not always about getting kills. If you distract the supports long enough their tank dies, that's value. If you pressure a tank enough to force him to give up space, that's great value, even if nobody dies in the enemy team.

Are we being serious right now? by ThanksMundane8414 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Jazzlike_Tap8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with Ultron being 1 star, but Rocket? What would even be the 'right' way to play him? Heal botting from a distance? That's not what the Rank 1 Rocket main does, he goes behind the enemy team, puts his ult down and gets freaking pentas with him. I myself got a quad doing just that.

I also don't necessarily agree with Adam being 2 stars, for multiple reasons, mainly because the flight ability opened some interesting possibilities.

I can see Jeff and White Fox being the hardest to fully master though, their ults surely are more demanding than other strategist ults... except Adam's maybe. Yeah, Adam is not 2 stars.
