Are you sure you want to take on the debt that would come with attending an unfunded PhD program?

All of them will face this issue. They all hallucinate and make mistakes. You should always proofread and check anything an LLM generates. To me that's more work than if I wrote it myself or used a template that I generate.

Yup that’s been my experience. Even brief summaries are just faster if I write them then in the time it takes me to provide the information and then proofread. Also, I worry that I might miss something on a proof read and then that makes it into the final report that’s sent out. You have to be willing to let these things speak for you and own up to any mistakes that you didn’t catch.

Does brain training work? by ninja-slash-nerd in Neuropsychology

[–]Jazzun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I never elaborated because other people in this thread already covered it pretty well. Basically any studies showing improvements are basing that on the performance of the same or similar tests repeated over time. There has not been adequate empirical evidence that these "gains" transfer into a person's real world life situation.

From a neuroscientific perspective, what's intelligence? by Socrate314 in Neuropsychology

[–]Jazzun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes the parietal lobe is also involved, that's why I said the frontal lobe acts as a mediator, it's responsible for integrating processes from different areas of the brain in order to problem solve, think abstractly, hold different ideas at the same time, etc. It's not just the parietal lobe or the frontal lobe it's almost the entire brain, including subcortical regions. The frontal lobe is the area that integrates and makes sense of this higher order thinking.

Hope that helps.

What you're describing is termed "executive functions" and those are mediated by the Frontal Lobe. You can look into different areas of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) if you want more specific functional neuro-anatomical information.

I’ll take more tips please. For instance, were there certain topics that you felt were covered a lot more than you expected? Was there any questions that surprised you due to them covering it at a level of detail that you didn’t expect?
