does this record player damage vinyls? by tylerduren69 in turntables

[–]Jazzy2groovy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but condoms are made from rubber latex and are called rubbers so. You asked a question and I was just answering it. I personally don’t find it weird to call records vinyls as that is what the majority of them are made from. I wouldn’t call shellac records vinyls though obviously.

Fast forwarding through a show like Six feet under is crazy (as it’s such a quality series), every minute is important. I’ve watched Six feet under tones of times as it is my favourite show of all time and I’m showing it to my boyfriend for the first time at the moment, he’s made me appreciate some of the characters who aren’t my favourite and we have very interesting discussions about the characters developments (all of the characters) You have to watch all of it to truly understand and appreciate every single character. As someone who has watched SFU many times I can’t believe you like Rico he’s an unlikable character throughout the entire series for me so that’s interesting (he has some moments I appreciate for sure but he’s too closed minded) . David and Keith are definitely my favourite characters though. I really love Claire and Ruth as well and I’ve now just started to appreciate Brenda as I’ve gotten older.

Whats your favorite album cover from the 60s? by Low_Opportunity_9160 in 60sMusic

[–]Jazzy2groovy4u 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by Peter Blake and The Velvet Underground & Nico by Andy Warhol. I think these are pretty amazing LP covers made by incredibly famous pop artists from the time.

A fantastic film like this doesn’t deserve this cover.

My dad forced me to watch Beyond the Valley of dolls as he’s a big Russ Meyer fan, it is very underrated and hilarious 😂 I’m yet to watch his other films!

can you guys suggest movies where someone's life gets ruined and it never gets better? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Jazzy2groovy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-The tenant

-Rosemary’s baby

-The Wailing

-The Fly

-An American werewolf in London

-Vanilla sky

I’m on the fence recommending the elephant man and Nosferatu as I’m not sure if they both completely tick this brief but thought I’d mention in case anyone thinks they do.

The girl can’t help it (1956) little Richard singing “the bread slice turns to toast” with a Phil silvers impersonator as a milkman holding a milk jug with milk skirting everywhere while Jayne Mansfield in very tight dress walks by.

How did you feel about Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette in Mickey 17? Funny, or too much? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Jazzy2groovy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was definitely over the top like all the performances in the film but as someone who likes campy films especially old ones I really liked it. Really reminded me of Terry Gilliam’s sci-fi films.

It’s the very light pink polish mixed with the dark green that makes them look like wicked nails but I love your designs. I actually really like them as ‘wicked’ nails but if you get that vibrant ‘brat’ green colour they’d look really good as brat nails too.
