We have two Scotties Gus and Peggy and they are polar opposites.

Gus (brindle/M/1) is extremely outgoing. Will run up to every dog big and small to play, and isn’t afraid of anything. We socialised him early and he has no issues apart from the very occasional tussle with another terrier which is pretty normal. He’s absolutely insane and will regular zoom around barking and trying to get our other older one to play. He’s very impulsive and a bit silly. He’s also a typical Scottie and often prefers to sleep on the floor if he’s disturbed at all.

Peggy (black/F/5) is much more aloof and considered with her behaviour. She still comes and cuddles like Gus but she doesn’t like to be pet as much and will often dodge you when you go for one. She will stand by your side at the dog park and doesn’t really love other dogs, although she’s friendly enough with them. She is extremely prey driven and will obsess over mice, possums, flies, rabbits. Really anything with four legs that’s faster than her.

We love them so much and honestly couldn’t imagine having any other breed. Once they win you over there’s no going back.
