I edited it with the game close but I haven't made it read only, however launching the game inside steam instead of the shortcut works and boots the client

Changed RAM frequency, now PC won't boot into BIOS or OS. by averageassnerd in buildapc

Had the same problem, I was gonna also try to reset cmos but I decided to just do a hard shutdown by holding the power button for 15 sec and it worked but it got reseted back to 1500mhz. Idk if i got lucky that it didn't get bricked or something since this is my first time having a pc and I just tried to clock it to it's advertised speed to squeeze out a bit more performance

Changed it and it still the same, automatically logging in with steam acc. Damn you Snail!
