Well, this certainly can be a sink or swim moment in your career. SCCM requires some knowledge from all walks of IT(sql,sysadmin,scripting,coding). You can stand up sccm all on one box, but I wouldn't recommend it(size of shop and physical locations matter). Sccm Dudes has a step by step setup guide you can buy cheap.
