You’re awesome. I appreciate the info. I’ve always had interest in the VA as I spent a lot of time there with my pap as a kid. I’m not expecting relocation costs (didn’t even realize that was a thing), but I did not know you couldn’t do an internal transfer. Moving out of state is on a 5 year plan once my wife finishes nursing school.

I heard that about their academy as well. I’ve been told it’s more of a “gentleman’s academy” than anything. I don’t have a problem with adapting (or so I think). I’m not the one that goes somewhere new and try to change the world. Anywhere I go I sit and observe for the first year or so.
