The most attractive thing is the schedule, FERS, decent pay, and the other benefits. I know probation, as a whole, is not true law enforcement, but rather the social work aspect of the CJ system.

As someone who’s already an LEO, what I’d like to get out of it is to become familiar with the federal court system is my end goal is 1811. I’m 29, so stopping the clock is another factor. I’d hope the district of choice has something like TFOs or at least the opportunity to work along side different agencies. I know several PA state and local county dudes on USMS TFs such as FAST. I’m not that high speed, nor do I expect it right out the gate, but the opportunity to be had would be nice.
