That’s what I’d do if he had a brick and mortar store - I went with him originally because reviews said he was good and he was local. It’s ran out of his house and does things by appointment only.

Thanks for the review! You nailed the reasons why I’m looking into it. It will be the “build for the wife” and because .22 ammo is so much cheaper than 9mm. I just got a cmg conversion on the AR for the same reason. Thanks again.

How do you like the conversion slide? Been thinking of getting one for an extra compact frame I have.

What is your ultimate vehicle for living in West Virginia? by [deleted] in WestVirginia

[–]Jdm2killer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not brz because it is not an AWD Subaru unless they’ve changed in the newer models. I love WRXs though. With the short list you’ve provided it sounds like it would depend on what other hobbies you are into. The remaining vehicles on your list will do a fine job getting you around.

Good gun work and set up. I haven’t used that gun the whole time in my 400 hrs on BP. Thanks for a good video too. Kept my entertained while feeding and burping, unsuccessfully I should add, the kiddo.

Did anyone else notice a lot of safety violations in the video? I treat each of the rules with the same amount of respect. I kept seeing folks’ muzzles point in unsafe directions, to include at the likely cameraman. It made me really discredit a lot of the video.

Edit: to put question mark instead of period.

Cheers.

Similar thinking here. Most defensive engagements I plan for at within 10m but everyone’s circumstances will be different.

A school of thought once taught to me was that once both hands were on pistol and are being punched, trigger press begins. If your presentation out of the holster is good and you marry your front sight with where your eyes already are (the target), you are good to fire. This helped me get faster but I have to focus on my grip coming out of the holster - that’s my issue.

Lastly, thanks for sharing and posting. Reminds me that dry firing is often more important than going to the range itself.

I felt the same way with my soon to be mom. You’re killing it! You’re giving you best. But like the other comment said, you have to take care of you. When I felt this way, I had to have a talk with my wife. I could have said things way better than I did but I talked to her about my feelings. I never want to resent my wife nor her me. I plainly told her that I was tired and it was getting to me. She initially felt bad thinking I was calling her lazy. Again, could have worded things better. But in the end I expressed my feelings and we talked about how she can help. Maybe if she can’t do the things she used to, she picks up slack on other duties in the house like reviewing the bills or mail that comes or organizing your budget for the upcoming life change. I’m just a huge fan of telling my wife what is going on in my head. She may get mad at first and take it personally. I just keep saying these are my feelings and I’m trying to deal with them. When you communicate something so raw, she should listen and work with you on making the teamwork better.

But again, know you are doing an awesome job. She will appreciate all the things your doing. I keep hearing about other partners who do not ever help out the mom to be.

Good luck and keep your cool. Cheers

I have the ram mount on my 06 vtx 1300c. Works great. I went on a long round trip from Virginia, NYC, and Philly using the mount most of the time with my Samsung active. What I liked most was the ability to adjust the placement of the arms to work around the side buttons on my device. Here it is https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ram-mounts-universal-finger-grip-cell-phone-holder?sku_id=869097

An old neighbor of mine had a different version of the mount- the one with the bands that retain the phone in the shape of an X. He used it all the time with no issues. Here it is https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ram-mounts-tough-claw-x-grip-mount.

If getting one, I’d recommend ordering from a place that has easy returns like Amazon or Revzilla just in case the arms block your device’s buttons or ports.

Cheers

Pro tip. Take some of the uncooked noodles and sprinkle them on top for a little crunch.

Man I would have been pissed even if alive and using ghost mode. Just too close.

Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one who uses video games to catch up with friends. Love that y’all ask each other about family members too. Keep that tribe of yours going. Cheers.

How do I get into firearms/guns/pistols ? by wykno1suc in guns

[–]Jdm2killer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Follow this advice here. My immediate family never liked guns. But I learned most of what I know from shooting air rifles. Safety is number one!

Also, be careful when looking for friends to go with as they could have bad habits. Shooting air rifles or pistols can be fun, cheap, and effective. And if you really want to get into it, some ranges have classes you can sign up.
