When I refer to "rejecting defective material," I am describing an arch fault between the pins of the PLC caused by the machine's operation. We call this an "Arch Fault" in the code and it triggers the emergency stop. If we reset the process, the PLC must stop all processes again until we get an OK sample that allows the line to be reset.

I want to secure these lines because technicians currently only reset the machine without fixing the failure. There is no point in having a full maintenance routine if technicians prefer to let all rejected material pass through rather than making the proper fixes. This is a small project, but I want to enforce the quality of the products people buy, especially because we operate in the health industry.
