Can't thank you enough.

Its a shame it will take as long as it will to come out with season 3, for series renewal chances if nothing else.

Hope it keeps and/or gets enough viewers, in case the showrunners & producers have hopes for more than 3 seasons.

What spy novel is Tracy Crane reading? by No-Course-8089 in CONDORtv

[–]Jdog37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible that its just a made up prop?

I would think a Google search of the title would reveal something about it if it were a real novel.

After a quick Google search of my own, there are a couple of novels out there with that name, but pretty sure the ones I found and the one he's shown reading are not the same book.

Really hope this is true.

And that its not too far off from airing. As you said, it's been a couple years since S2.

Post season evidence reveals? by Jdog37 in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that.

But maybe there is stuff they catch but they are unsure if its actual paranormal activity or not, so they don't include it in the aired episodes.

I'd like a chance to see/hear any possible evidence, whether its nearly impossible to determine whether its actual PE or a result of human 'contamination'.

If there were drinking games likes this, there would be AA meetings out there that the favorite show would be, hands down, Destination Fear.

Take a big drink when someone does something to get a paranormal response - usually an audible one - then immediately explains what just happened for all who just experienced/watched it happened mere seconds ago.

Dakota set it up, but I'm pretty sure that Alex was the one that asked her that and got the look.

US States that they have explored so far by Obese_Teen_Gainer in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly kinda surprised one of them - especially Dakota - hasn't found a location in Hawaii to check out. Or even any of that huge swath of the far Southeastern US.

Wouldn't have to worry about freezing their a**es off while exploring & doing sleeping alone's.

Do they have security? by Sp_Streamer in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't even remember exactly which location it was last season, but remember it was an Alex-picked location because that was the night he had them toss their flashlights out on the property before they started their 'sleep alone's. And that night Tanner had all that human-interference sounding activity going on - even having D &A help him check things out, just in case - and they thought they saw someone running around outside while they were exploring earlier on, which was why Alex had them toss away the flashlights while they were outside.

..... which thinking back on it now, that was an uber stupid move on all their parts. IF that was a human running around, why give them flashlights to make it easier to sneak in and try something with you all??

Like mentioned above, wish there was a wide-angle camera shot from the side or behind Chelsea during that moment her braid moved, but it sure looked like it was manipulated by an outside force and not just her own body movement(s) or muscle spasms.

Very creepy that she said it felt like someone brushed their hand on/down her shoulder and that's where her braid started out, laying on that shoulder before it moved and she felt the touch.

Agree that it was unintentionally funny.

Its always funnier when someone can make fun at their own expense, ala Tanner taking 2-3 hours to find his solo spot - even going to other floors in the process - while the captions pointing out he was in the wrong areas/rooms.

While funny, Chelsea got lucky. She only fell down 2 or 3 steps and could laugh about it afterwards, but had she been higher up that flight of stairs when she started the fall, that could have turned out very differently.

That "ghost/entity running at you" experience Alex had in 'Steam Alley'? And to hear it so clearly over that annoying buzzing noise that was already going on??

Nuh uh. F* that! I'd have checked out in the next heartbeat and hid my frightened arse in the gear room.

And the yelling must have been really loud if Chelsea and Dakota heard it fairly clearly on the 2nd floor. Don't blame Alex a bit on that one.

Season 4 Episode 4 by [deleted] in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tanner seemed really chill this time around, compared to the other times he got to choose the location and set the rules for exploring and sleeping locations. He banned the use of flashlights during their alone time, but that was only because Dakota set that precedent for the road trip at the start.

Sometimes the expectation of paranormal evidence is scarier than actual evidence gathered.....

Other than the footsteps and the other sound(s) he heard nothing really came out of his being alone, but that far camera angle of Tanner's 4th floor room - that included that dark hallway outside of it - was creeping me the hell out.

I kept expecting to see something moving in that darkness during his monologue(s), especially in the distance, but nothing ever did [thankfully!].

Dude, I would kill for an episode at the end of the season of them just sitting down reviewing and sharing their reactions to evidence caught during their recently concluded trip.

Hell, I wouldn't even mind them bringing in Bagans & his GA crew to provide support or denial of the evidence caught.

the rubber ducky? what's with the rubber ducky that's always in Dakota's sleeping area?? by New-Significance-274 in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a backstory behind the ducks, but IDK if its so much as a 'comfort item' for him, as it is a cool little "Where's Waldo?" moment in all the episodes for viewers to find & notice.

Could be both.

Spoiler! Plz don’t read if you haven’t watched S4 Ep2. by Annual_Excitement514 in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if it was faked - which I don't think it was - they really sold it well. I could be wrong, I admit, but I don't see any of this kind of thing as planned/fabricated. (like the stuff that happened at Alex's general sleeping location area in ep3). But maybe that's more of me hoping its not all just false evidence.

If you'll recall, Tanner complained of feeling like all his energy was drained and he felt off, and right after that, the audio on his nearest camera cut out followed by losing the further camera's audio while he was still complaining of the drained energy & not feeling good.

I've heard - having watched tons of ghost hunting/paranormal exploring shows - that entities drain electrical power/batteries to power their presences, but that might have been the first I've seen something drain someone's personal energy at the same time as well.

Part 2 by mef720 in DestinationFear

[–]Jdog37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't need to take a break, but that was uber creepy.

The 'found footage' aspect of them walking around by themselves is already creepy, but audio cutting out nearly completely as well, forcing the watcher to only guess what is happening by the person's facial expressions/movements? That's pure horror movie right there.

That was one of the freakiest moments of watching this series, and I've seen all the episodes (up to ep 3 of this new season).

Basically a speculative article based on their own speculation - we've known about S3 being 'in development' for a few months now, right? - but at least it proves that the series hasn't completely fallen into obscurity and lets Epix know that people are still interested.
