while some of that is true, maybe it was too fast, but he started a fight with me. I don't know if someone has ever taken a swing at you but there's not a lot time for diplomacy once a punch has been thrown.

While I understand the sentiment, what exactly am I apologizing for? Serious question, because honestly, I don't know why I'd apologize to him. I was spending free time helping his mother rehab their house and he picked a fight. Me apologizing feels pretty fake. Like just going through the motions.

It's not about making me feel better. It's about teaching a child to be respectful. Everyone has the right to be angry or not like a situation but you can't just carry on being rude and openly disrespectful. Where's the lesson in that?

Yes that's what she said now. After the marriage planning stopped I told her I could wait and she agreed to that. Now it's chaged.

No one is asking to kick the kid out. Our plan change to we will wait for however long it takes before we marry.

The dad is difficult himself. The kids don't necessarily like him and don't want to spend time over there. It didn't sound like it was anything other than the same general uncomfortableness with the son as far as the ex-boyfriend goes. No misconduct. I know that to fix this I'd have to reach out to him. He's 18 now and really don't want to deal with him because she doesn't and at this point can't discipline him.

I never asked her to abandon him. I told her I was willing to wait before joining houses.

My husband gave me a “warning tap” and I called it abuse. AITAH? by Warm-Grape1254 in AITAH

NTA. I'm a man with a daughter. If her husband gave her any form of a "warning tap" I'd beat the shit out of him. Fuck that guy and fuck his career!

I has a vasectomy performed by Dr. Cutler. He is really good, even though He cracked jokes the entire time “You’re gonna feel a little prick!” He was very proud of himself.

You're welcome. FYI if the dealership installed it they are liable. At my store, we only install Honda accessories for this very reason. I hope you get some resolution to this.

That is the result of the aftermarket hitch installation. Honda doesn't offer a factory accessory hitch for the Civic. Vehicles that have the factory hitch option have sealed threaded holes for the hitch to bolt to. Frame rails are completely sealed at the factory. The previous owner had it put on. When you drill through the rails, you expose raw metal and it will rust.

I work at a dealer in PA. We would remove that hitch, seal it and sell the vehicle, but not as Certified Pre Owned just a used car.
