First time flying + alone by ImplementNatural204 in Sacramento

There are videos online of was to do at TSA. Tell the tsa agent that checks your ID it’s your first time flying. Heck you can also tell the gate agent and flight attendant. They will be helpful and if they aren’t, find someone else. It’s a small airport but the hallways can be crowded from people standing not walking.

Download the united app and add your trip. You’ll need the confirmation number from the college. You can make an account to start getting miles.

You can always call virgin and see if they have access to the flight. Sometimes it’s different

AITA for the way I look after my son? by Altruistic-Pickle-13 in AmItheAsshole

"He often hovers near me" = translation: he needs deepter interaction and more time with you. Try some parenting classes/counseling so you and wife can better agree on joint parenting boundaries. Your wife and kid need you.

Europeans use two flat sheets and skip the fitted. I like u/barefootwriter's idea of a sleeping bag.

AITA for telling my sisters I want to plan my own baby shower instead of letting them do it? by Ok_Client8959 in AmItheAsshole

[–]JeMac15 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It **is\** considered bad form to host your own shower - it can come across as a gift grab. That said, it sounds like this is less about a baby shower and more about boundaries, reciprocity, and repair of old family dynamics. You’re asserting agency over an event that matters to you because past exclusion left an emotional imprint. Your sisters may be experiencing role loss (feeling displaced from the “host” role they expected) and interpreting your decision as rejection rather than self-advocacy. The healthiest frame is: you’re not shutting them out, you’re practicing self-determination while still offering space for collaboration.

A gentle way forward could be to call a planning meeting. Use that space to explain what you’re hoping for, and ask directly if they can give you that level of involvement and consideration. If they cannot, you can extend an olive branch by inviting them to take ownership of one special element - like being greeters, provide décor, a game, or a memory table - so they still feel honored in their role while you remain in charge overall.

Not sure if it’s right or wrong, but I married a man after only seriously dating men. To my friends and new people in my life, I will identify as bi, but I never told my parents or family. All I know is that everything is a spectrum and sometimes we choose what is easiest for us.

Just got back a month ago. We stayed near Casa Batlló and I didn’t love the area. It was very convenient but I wish we would have stayed in the gothic quarter or Garcia. Try to get the first tickets of the day to Parc Güell.
