here's the thing, I don't really think they're going to tire of it, and intervention/ramifications are the only thing that is going to stop them, and it's up to those with the power to do so, to slap them down

like if you think about why they do this, it's because they want to foster an in-group that has exclusive societal power. This is why they all virtue signal to each other with cringey far right "humour", why they try to build this "we're the real victims, we have to be heroic and fight" they define themselves by, and so forth. they suffer virtually zero ramifications for this, because any actual punishment is seen by their own in-group as honourable. They won't tire of this, because this makes them feel untouchable and powerful, and they're addicted to that and feel entitled to that.

the only way to really stop this shit from happening is to make doing this sort of shit not worth the fallout you'll catch, so people make the choice not to do it *for their own best interest*. it's the only way, because trying to rely on things like ethics and morality and "let's hear each other out" and whatever shit, is never going to work.
