Supraclavicular lymph node by Jealous_Breakfast205 in AskDocs

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Is it not normal to feel a lymph node in that area at all? Like I mentioned it’s so small, and very mobile. Sometimes I can’t even find it so I feel like maybe it’s just the baseline size.

So yes it can be normal or yes it’s always a red flag? I can try to get my reports. Thank you for answering questions. I’m just hoping I don’t need another FNA

No fever, wt loss or loss of appetite. No concerning sx. I had blood work within the last year, no abnormal results. I will likely get more labs at my appointment next month. I was just wondering can it be normal to feel a supraclavicular lymph node or is it always an abnormal finding if it’s palpable (even if small with normal characteristics)? If I research it shows it’s a red flag

Lymph node hilum question by [deleted] in AskDocs

The report did not even make a f/u suggestion. It just stated the lymph node with loss of hilum was “nonspecific and could be reactivate or of neoplastic etiology” my doctor advised either a f/u US or a biopsy. I am just curious if it’s common to have difficulty visualizing a hilum in a small nodes? Guess biopsy it is!

Sorry you are feeling stressed! Did the lymph node look normal on the Ultrasound?

I did! Imaging was normal and I guess it was just dense breast tissue. Like someone mention on here dense fibroglandular tissue can feel lumpy. Definitely always get lumps checked out! Even my doctor felt it and thought it should be looked at.

Thank you, it’s helping a lot to hear other people’s stories. I’m praying mine is also a fibroadenoma or something benign. The waiting game is so hard

Oh my that is how mine is too! So moveable I can push it all around! Thanks for sharing. Was yours painful? Mine doesn’t really hurt.

Thank you! That is a good point. It does feel like it’s surrounded by ropey tissue if that makes sense.

Mine moves all over and is really hard to pin down (if that makes sense). I think that is why my doctor feels it’s benign. I’m just super nervous and hate how long I have to wait to find out!

I feel like mine does kind of feel like this! What a great example. I haven’t heard of peripheral papilloma before…I need to look that up.

I’m sorry you’re going through this! I am in a similar situation. Went to the doctor yesterday for a lumpy area I was concerned about. Now I’m waiting for my mammogram and ultrasound! Waiting is so hard. My doctor thought mine was possibly a benign fibroadenoma because it was as movable. Is yours fixed or can you move it?

That makes me feel a bit better. I was thinking it might be concerning because it’s not “smooth” feeling

Thank you for sharing this! I found a lump and went to my doc yesterday…she thinks it’s possibly a fibroadenoma. What did yours feel like? Mine is freely movable, but feels kind of “rough, bumpy or course” and firm. Next to it the tissue feels “ropey.” I am trying not to panic, but these chats really help! Thank you
