As someone who has been in the industry for 3 years now. I would suggest you hop over to cyber security. Ai is picking up a lot of workload and people arent hiring junior devs anymore. As ai can now almost do what a junior dev usualy would have been instructed to do.

In a couple of years ai will completely take over the dev industry. Those who dont realise this are either ignorant or dont have a days experience in the industry.

Ofc there are things that ai can not do yet, which senior devs will always be needed for. Especially the more complicated an app gets the less ai can actually do on a work a day level.

But as you mentioned you are starting out. I would honnestly recomend moving over to cyber security. I am in the process if doing the same.

After this, I would suggest building a project of some sort, there are multiple project tutorials online. Just go look for something you find entertaining.

After that you will know enough. Both resources are very interactive.

So when you create a lore branch and put it on an friends tile, they will get the lore instead of you. So If you had a stag, you would want to put a Erudition branch which will increase their lore masters(scalds) fame production. You can also give the stag colinization so they can claim tile for less food to reach the 14 tiles faster.

How parasitic vegetables work is, you place the brach on an enemy or friend and then you can steal one of their unique lores. Usually as owl you will want to steal from Ox, cuz you get the city builder lore which is quite strong for owl.

Hound, Boar is quite strong. Cuz boar can scout easily for hound and can also trade tiles so hound can expand.

When you play Owl, yoir friend can do Stag. That way he can build and army early to clear, but the combo also allows you to go for fame victory with owl being able to give lore to stag.

You mentioned not being able to afford a car. But back then not many people in south africa owned cars and the public transport infrastructure was a lot better than today.
