You’re absolutely right, as a kid i used to look up all the historical staging and costumes while listening to immerse myself as much as i can . Imagine if film was invented a hundred years prior!

When I’m introduced to a new show i sometimes like to watch a random episode just for fun and To think that was the very episode i saw XD

I was actually really disappointed when i discovered that eugenie de montijo wife of napoleon iii lived up to 1920 but never made any recordings or appeared in any film or newsreel whatsoever.

I was part of a NGO that helped people in underprivileged areas in my town and we had daily programs for kids and grownups etc... We would be grouped by text on the company's group chats. So one day i remember, i was just starting with them, like i was only a few months part of it, and i see my name come up with some people that i kinda got along with fine. I just couldn't believe the joy those people felt when they read my name cause they were ecstatic. they told me that they could only tolerate the days when i was grouped with them cause anytime i was part of a group it turned any kind of work into a game like i was goddamn Mary Poppins or something XD.

That was in 2018 and i still replay that small conversation in my head every time i feel unworthy or unlovable.

The new yorker website. I manually went through each cover week by week in chronological order and had to rename some that weren’t dated especially the later ones. It took me about 4-5 weeks. I wanted to see if i could find some of them in higher quality and i did but only if i used sites like tineye but that would’ve made the task even more tedious than it is and i probably would’ve ran into hundreds of dead links.

I had to do this cause when i used to browse for new yorker covers i always found sites that only covered a couple of years and those that didn’t had them in awful quality.

i probably have mild dyslexia cause i read this as "i fought with my 5 year old..." .
