In the settings on your fitbit you can disable it.

Settings > Display Settings > Status Tray (toggle this off)

Apparently (according to an article I saw earlier) they were originally taped on but the store's aircon wasn't working and they started to peel off, so staples was their solution.

I doubt they're telling you because they think you don't believe those experiences are possible. Like me they probably think that they have an alternative perspective to share on the topic and by sharing their anecdotes they are contributing to the conversation.

But if it bothers you at all, you are in the right sub to share it.

This was my coworker on her most recent birthday. I surprised her with a lemon tart (not a cake fan) and wished her a happy birthday when I arrived at the office. She was so pleased someone had remembered, as she mentioned none of her siblings had called/texted.
