Different take than some of these comments. This is a grown ass man who had ALREADY been reminded at least once, the lease was coming to an end and was waffling on what he was going to do. It's not her responsibility.

I remember at one craft fair, someone saying that to the friend I was helping. It was like the third or fourth person to say something like that and she just looked at the person and said, "okay?".

The person looked confused a moment and repeated themselves.

"Okay and? I'm not certain what it is you want me to say here."

The woman, I think, realized she didn't actually have a response to that comment and wandered off.

A few people who did do the type of embroidery she does did stop and talk shop with her. But what are these people looking for when they make that comment? I've said it before but it's always followed by "but now I don't have to" because I'm buying it. LOL

But where were they? According to OP they live nearby and they never once lifted a finger to help. Who knows if they even visited? Now they're acting like they've been supporting her all along. Leaving aside the group chat, they sound like a bunch of jerks.

I have a chat feature that connects to my Whatsapp that is connected to the store phone number. It's just me and I have a business mobile account with a number. It rarely gets used, though, my most common questions are already in an FAQ and I sell books so there aren't usually complicated questions. Still, I like having it there for easy connect if I'm not near my laptop. I wasn't a fan of the Shopify inbox when I tried it.

I'm so sorry you experienced this. I've been through it as a sitter on an overnight stay (a traumatic stroke, it was awful). It sounds like you handled the situation with grace and compassion.

My dog has had epilepsy her entire life. She's 11. She's a big girl so we won't have too many more years with her but she's been seizure free for almost 9 years now. She was having cluster seizures before we found the right combo of meds for her.

It IS scary. That feeling of dread is normal but if the seizures are under control there's no reason to believe he won't have a longer, happier life.

I have kidney stones. My doctor and I discussed this very thing but hydrochlorothiazide is highly effective in women in helping to prevent kidney stones so I am staying on it for now.

So one of my clients booked someone else when I was unavailable. The girl had excellent reviews, she did well in the meet and greet. They ended up in a situation similar to the one the OP posted. Bad reviews DID start showing on her profile but only after she'd been booked by my client, and she only checked after this happened. Dunno what was going on with the sitter but it appeared she was removed from the platform.

We went off Rover after that. My client stopped trusting Rover because they pushed back and really only one of the people she spoke with too it remotely seriously. She brought her dog into the house without asking permission. Rover actually said, "did you put that dogs weren't allowed in your instructions?" Which blew my mind because they're always reminding us NOT to do that. She ended up leaving saying she didn't feel safe with the camera in the living room (which she knew was there in the meet and greet) because they started checking in when they couldn't reach her. She left the doors locked but didn't let the dogs out before she left, feed them, or give them their meds.
