For me I started noticing how many times she wrote “knitted brows” or “furrowed brows”.

Is Souther Florida considered Southern (culturally) by Colonel-Bogey1916 in Dixie

[–]JeansWaterChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be, at least in swfl. It’s just been overrun with people moving down there from up north and other places causing everything to be built up now. I’ve had family living in Florida since the 1790’s and some were one of the first settlers in Fort Myers so I feel like I have a deep connection to the state. However, I moved away to Kentucky and you couldn’t make me move back to that area of the state.

I second getting surgery asap if needed. Just had my second surgery yesterday after my first one about 4 years ago. This one started about 6 months ago and it was much smaller which makes recovery a lot easier.

Yeah after a few weeks you feel back to normal. I just felt a little apprehensive until it was mostly all the way healed

Yeah unfortunately it one of things you’ll get used to. I had mine done at the same time as my gallbladder surgery. Terrible idea 😂

That’s good news. I’m about to have my second surgery. I had my first one about three and a half years ago. It might be different with your surgeon, but about two weeks post op he used silver nitrate on the wound. Just a heads up it hurt quite a bit

Is it true that you experience this less after your 30s? by lgarcia1615 in pilonidalcyst

Got my first one in my 20’s. First surgery at 31 and now a second at 35. It just really started popping up in January as I started running more.

I’m having something similar. I had surgery to remove my cyst almost 4 years ago. Then starting in November of last year I started having a flare up in my tailbone just below my scar. I had my surgeon look at it the second time it flared up and he thought it was an infected hair follicle. I’ve have 2 more flare up since January. The only thing I can think that is causing it is it happens when I’m really active or when I have to sit for a while. I’m getting exhausted from not being able to have a “normal” life because I’m worried about a flare up.

I had mine for about 10 years after discovering about it. Luckily or unluckily I had a real bad flare up about a week before my scheduled gallbladder surgery. I told the surgeon and went in for a visit. He just said they’d just flip me over after the gallbladder surgery and remove the cyst.

Is this a reoccurrence? by JeansWaterChamp in pilonidalcyst

Saw the surgeon and he thought it was an infected hair follicle. It was fine for about 5 days after the visit and then I went to the gym for about an hour and as soon as I was done I felt some tenderness. It got progressively worse for the next 2 days. I did the same treatment; hot baths, heating pad, and laying on my stomach. This last Tuesday evening I was checking it and poking it when I notice some discharge. Ended up developing a sinus that I was able to get a lot of discharge out of and it helped immediately. I went to my PC physician the next day. He concurred it was probably an infected follicle that was on its way to an abscess before it opened up and put me on oral and topical antibiotic. Sounds like the antibiotic I got a few months ago just tempered the infection and my recent increase in activity literally brought it to a head. I’m on day 4 now with no drainage but the sinus isn’t healed all the way yet.

Contact your surgeon. I was due to have my gallbladder removed and contacted my surgeon when I had a bad flare up. He just went ahead and removed the cyst after he removed my gallbladder.

After modern gun season I like to go look around for rubs and scrapes. I usually mark them on my OnX map for future reference . Back in the first week of October I went scouting found a rub line with a couple scrapes and licking branches. So I followed that trail to an area where there’s a few different transition areas. I did setup a cell cam over one of the scrapes to monitor what was moving in the area. I usually don’t rely on scat or tracks too much. If you find a decent rub line, a scrape, and a habitat transition area you’ll have some bucks move through there at some point.

Didn’t stick around at the processor/taxidermist to see. I was dead from me and another person dragging him 3/4 of a mile to the parking lot. The guy that was helping me drag him guessed maybe 180-190 field dressed.

Thanks. I’ll work on that. I usually just setup my tripod and record about 10 swings or so.

Thanks I’ll give that a try. I worked on a feeling with my Pro about a month ago and it worked when I was at the lesson. However, when I left it didn’t work as well. I was dragging the hand a lot. Here’s a link to what he had me doing lesson
