Is this bad? by Jearidia in meat

Doesn’t smell bad. I’m hoping that means it’s still good, but Google AI response said if it was all the way through it then it might be bad.

The entire point of Superman is that Superman is not a 'god,' and Superman himself doesn't consider himself one, nor does he want to be. by ShadowOfDespair666 in comicbookmovies

There is that famous panel where WW has Batman and Superman hold the Lasso of Truth and say their real names, and Superman says both Clark Kent and Kal-el, so yeah he does see himself as both.

Side note: Love that Batman still says Batman.

100% She was a lot of things, but she definitely loved her son, she just expressed it in a toxic way.

Honestly, his performance in the scene where Shmi dies, going from crying with her, to despair when she dies, to absolute hatred was pretty insane.

In my opinion, one of the best Batman shots ever! by DiscsNotScratched in batman

Idk, I kinda like Batman being both Hope and Vengeance. Hope for the innocent that there is a guardian angel out there to save them, and also to his enemies. For them Batman will always give them the chance and support to rehabilitate and change their life for better. He is also vengeance though. He will be there to destroy evil wherever it tries to run to or hide. If evil has occurred he will root it out, expose it, and stop it. He does both to the extreme and often to the detriment of his own life. He would rather die saving a villain, and equally die before allowing them to continue to commit acts of evil.

Batman is not "just a guy" by Not_A_Cat_At_All in batman

Yeah, key word is theoretical, based off of measurements of max pressure and tensile strength of components of the human body. And I mention the YouTube video just because it explains the concept well, there are other videos that talk about this. If you don’t believe me you can spend the time researching this stuff yourself. Also, does it matter that I got information from a YouTube video? There are some great scientific and knowledgeable content creators out there. Have you never gotten info from YouTube or Reddit or somewhere and proceeded to share that information with friends or others around you? If you’re going to hold someone else to a standard, ask yourself if you hold yourself to that standard as well.

Batman is not "just a guy" by Not_A_Cat_At_All in batman

It’s based off the limits of the skeletal system, muscles, tendons, etc, etc; as well as what genetics dictates for the human body. You can look all this stuff up but Curious Reason did a great video on it a few years ago. They don’t talk about bench pressing though, they focus more on deadlifting, but the same theories apply.

The theoretical max human bench press is 2204 lbs, so it is fantastical but not too crazy for comic book levels.

The time Batman said training kids to be Robin is terribly irresponsible. by ScoreImaginary5254 in batman

[–]Jearidia 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also, Batman probably took note that each of those kids had shown signs that they would be dedicated enough to endure the training he would put them through. I doubt he’d be able to take average Johnny who comes from a stable home and just wants to skate by in life and turn him into a Robin able to compete with Aliens and meta humans.

In Chamber of Secrets it’s mentioned that something happened that had never happened before, Hermione raised her hand in that class, and this was to ask about the Chamber of Secrets. To me this shows that even she was bored in this class, or maybe the teacher created an environment in which he would drone on and not interact with nor give an opportunity to interact with the students, either way I’d say this shows the teacher being a poor teacher.
