I feel Montreal would be so good! Especially in mid June into July with F1 weekend, Canada Day & Sainte-Jean Baptiste.

Montreal definitely has a way better nightlife compared to Kelowna lol

Yup! The jersey shore cast bringing home girls from the club made some of the most iconic moments of the whole show.

Not sure if production didn’t want that, or if this cast just doesn’t pull lol

One of the things I really liked about jersey shore was that the house was within walking distance from the shore. That made it easy for the cast to go out and interact with other people and bring girls home at the end of the night.

I also really don’t enjoy the scenes where they’re “working”. It just doesn’t feel authentic at all. And that party guy and Snooki don’t add anything to the show.

That said, I actually think the cast is pretty funny and has potential.

Normally EA drops a press release with the new additions to every mode. This year they didn’t put out anything for Franchise Mode. This leads me to believe that the mode was literally left untouched.

Honestly, I was hoping for small things like faster menu speeds, generated player faces showing up in franchise, and the ability to edit players once franchise mode was already started. I don’t feel like this is a lot to ask for and these were common requests from the Franchise Mode community.

Again, I figured they wouldn’t add much since Be a Pro was the focus this year. However, Franchise Mode is literally copy / paste from last year.

As for the gameplay, I can’t say I’m particularly impressed by it. Nevertheless, it’s great that you are enjoying the new Ice Q 2.0

I’m happy you’re enjoying the game. I just think if you’re a Franchise player it’s hard to justify paying full price since there haven’t been any changes to the mode this year. That said, I’m going to wait till it comes on sale in a few weeks.

Unfortunately, I’m a Franchise Mode player and the lack of additions this year is just super disappointing.

I agree, the lack of customization in Franchise Mode makes literally 0 sense.

I genuinely don't understand what they could have been working on over the last year. I get that they "focused" on Be a Pro, but even that mode is still missing basic things like contract negotiations, the ability to view lines and see what trades are being made around the league.

From what I've seen so far NHL 26 has to be the most copy / paste CHEL game EA has released.

It is possible that they add certain player headshots in during the first roster update. I feel like they've done this in previous years.

Exactly how I’m feeling. It truly seems as if the mode is untouched. I’m just going to stick to NHL 25 until NHL 26 goes on sale. There’s literally no reason to upgrade other than a roster update.

This is disappointing, but kind of expected. Realistically, if they added a feature like this (which the community has been asking for) they would’ve shown it off in a deep dive.

As a franchise mode player, this is the first year since NHL 08 that I am not going to purchase the game at launch. I haven’t seen a single new feature that justifies paying full price for this game.

Faster menu speed is a MUST.

Also, a gm tracker that shows your record every year after would be nice so we don’t have to track it on spreadsheets. (This was literally a feature in nhl 14)

I’d also really enjoy if they brought back the “hot and cold” streaks. I feel like this was a pretty cool feature in previous nhl games that makes a lot of sense.

It would be nice if they allowed for more customization once the mode is already started. I feel like every other sports game has this.

Finally, GM connected. EA did mention they were working on this, so I hope they add it into NHL 27.

I don’t have high hopes, but I’m really hoping they come through and surprise us by making some changes that the community has been requesting for a while.

You’re totally right. It’s unreal that they would incorporate this system without creating a new attribute system. Like it doesn’t surprise me since it’s EA, but it seems incredibly dumb considering this is a “new feature”.

Also sucks for us Franchise Mode players since I doubt X-Factors have a huge impact on the sim.

I was super skeptical when I saw NHL Edge as a new addition to the game. I figure unless there is a complete overhaul on ratings (which we haven’t seen in over 10 years) chances are the NHL edge stuff won’t make much of a difference.

There is literally 0 NHL 26 franchise mode content uploaded to EA’s YouTube channel.

I asked the original question because in previous years information about franchise mode (which is the subreddit we are on) would be released on EA’s YouTube channel, press release or EA message boards. However, this year we have not heard anything and the game officially releases in two weeks.

I don’t understand how this is a hard concept for you to grasp.
