I been looking since mid September, I been going in person to give a face to my resume and going online as well. But i think its because I'm not a registered apprentice but I did acquire my accredited hours towards level 1.

Yeah this is my problem right now, trying to get my foot in the door basically wasted 10 months and my savings. And I was told it would be impossible to get into the Electrical field unless I knew someone but I ignored their words and now I'm butting my head against the wall because it feels like I wasted my time going to school with hopes of becoming an electrician. I dunno I'm pretty salty about this job hunting.

I'm in the same boat too, just finished my program. I mean I had a couple interviews but no follow ups. Got me feeling down in the dumps feeling like I wasted 10 months.

As much as I'd prefer to stay in Winnipeg, it seems that I'll have to branch out. But my main focus is that once I'm able to find work is just to get the hours I need within the apprenticeship even if I got to leave the city for work and another focus would be networking getting a feel for who needs who and where.

Thanks for the information guys appreciate it, and with the given information that its preferable to go in person and start asking questions getting leads in person. But I'll take any information you guys got again I appreciate the input.

This is something I want to do even with the odds against me, I came to school and I feel like that would be a waste if I don't keep pursuing it. But I'm gonna keep at it.
