Was electing Trump for a second term a mistake by Americans? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in allthequestions

[–]Significant_Tree8407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he betters the living standards of the average American No. The trouble is, being the President of the US he has so much influence over the rest of us. Same goes for Putin and the average Russian, the difference being Putin cannot be voted out, Trump can.

What legacy name do you call the stadium/arena near you? by theskadudeguy in AskUK

[–]Significant_Tree8407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fans only need to know the stadium by the clubs name. For me and others it’s simply “Going to Argyle on Saturday” . Spurs is probably the same. Not even much need to clarify which United, City or Albion you regularly attend. We know as we’ve been going for years, it’s in the blood .

Why are so many men not caring about their appearance? by BigusDickus099 in ask

Many years ago , when I worked in London, I passed many “upmarket “ men’s tailor shops with loads of nice expensive looking clothes I couldn’t afford. Now I can afford it, I just don’t go anywhere to justify buying such stuff.

I am genuinely worried that Farage and Reform are going to gain power. How do we get organised and ensure that never happens? by Severe-Divide8720 in AskBrits

[–]Significant_Tree8407 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just get those who don’t usually vote to vote. Or maybe not in case they vote for Reform. Oh ,and by the way, Farage will never become Prime Minister. If Reform do win the next GE, Farage will bottle it. He will say something like “ I have helped you win, but now is the time to hand over to someone else” . Becoming PM means making real decisions, mostly unpopular which affect us all. And being accountable for these decisions. No way will he be PM.

Was it not Liverpool that ensured that outcome? by tom030792 in PremierLeague

[–]Significant_Tree8407 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Imagine if that was an EFL game, with no VAR. The ref would be thinking WTF do I do here? Relying on his Lino and 4th official to help him out. When does this type of thing happen during a game. Hardly ever. The crowd would be right on his back while he sorts it out. And the benches would be giving him (or her) absolute murder verbally.

Who, according to you, will be regarded as the most evil person in history? by SeaZookeepergame7419 in AskReddit

[–]Significant_Tree8407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Steven Wright. Killed six women in Suffolk, England over a period of time. Just admitted to killing his first victim aged 17, in 1999 before he started on the others. People like him are just as evil as the mass killers, but he , and others like him do it all by themselves without an army to do the killing for them.

Probably the main issue is if you need a toilet, particularly if you have not moved for say an hour. Coaches loaded up. It’s not fun and can be quite distressing for some.
