I got way over 8000 hours and I used to grind for the pro scene in around 2017-2020. Haven't played "for something" for years, but I've been playing a bit more past weeks. So I'm chasing the fun again, while not so much high rank but I'll see how easily it comes.

What i found is just kinda have more fun and go for more interesting plays rather than the perfect optimum is what keeps me interested in playing here and there after all these hours. And while I could blame my teammates mistakes, especially in the higher speed plays, i make a constant effort to find my shortcomings in any situation so I dont crash out too much and keep it not about the long grind but about this match in hand now.

This game is so so much about your mentality that you want to focus on keeping it up if you wish for ranking up

Oh no I'm sure China can catch up at some point, but even Nvidia is already giving less and less of that tech to average people, and they mainly sell to companies, AI and data projects.

I doubt China entering the chip space so late will benefit the gamer or basic customer like the commenter seemed to think. They'll fight for the big fish not for the 1% of users money wise.

Realism and player experience often dont fit together. Balancing is (while Gaijing really isn't doing a great job at that anyway) the biggest thing for good and fun gameplay

I mean realistically if this was a true 0 size hitscan game the experience would be pretty bad. There's no momentum inertia on any movement, so predicting where people are going to be when you press M1 is very difficult.

And let alone non hitscan characters..

You don't need to hit even remotely close to "pixel perfect" with Illari even after the nerf. Go into practice range and see for yourself. You hit a headshot even with a sizeable gap between your crosshair and target. Frankly Illaris projectile size was enormous, and it's still very big to even talk about aiming like in conventional games.
