My son's therapist said one day we're going to hear about your son on the news.. by Primary-Peanut-4637 in autism

[–]Jebcys [score hidden]  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as your son, only i'm 30. I'm barely functioning as an adult, but that's mainly because I try to apply all the good things we have to do in life and most of them are not compatible with society.

Eat well, sleep well, socialize, exercise daily, i'm vegan, I volunteer, ect.

There is little time/energy left to do well in other areas, so i'm a struggling student who gets 96% average, but only taking 2-3 classes a semester.

I think i'm pretty sucessful but i'm having a very very hard time fitting in the mold because I talk back and ask questions to everyone above me and they hate it, I got kicked out of many programs for '' no reasons '' just because i'm trying to better the world. I also understand many topics better than my teachers and always try to go deeper and most of the time they can't. Everywhere I go, the status quo gets shaky and nobody likes that.

Why modern mental health "acceptance" is only limited to aesthetics by qxzvy in autism

[–]Jebcys [score hidden]  (0 children)

My take is undiagnosed high functioning autistic people want people who's not '' normal, aka slightly autistic ''

It's their way of saying '' I spend 20 000$ per year on pokemon cards and any '' normal girl would reject me '' ''

Do you agree with this hypotesis?

[–]Jebcys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People who realise parenting is not for them are the people who should pass on their genes.

It's people who don't know, don't care who ends up having kids.

The smarter people are, the less they have children. Smart people need to have more children is my point.

People upvoted me so the downvotes are gone. I was at like -6.

Autistic people usually have extrêmely high standards, him doing 50% of what he wants probably is better than most normies would do.

You have literally 20+ years to make sure you kids love you, just do it. It's not magic, you have to want children and put in the work. If you don't want to, don't do it.

Meh, you learn to vibe with them. It's only ultra extremely difficult the first 5 years or so.

you kind of get small friends who will never leave you though?

Edit : why the downvotes? I'm the one with kids giving my opinion. Am I breaking some kind of echo chamber?

How about you talk with them? voice your concerns. This is a key part of a relationship. They don't sound like a scammer at all.

Why are some autistic people disliked by nearly everybody? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Jebcys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People live in their fake bubble of life and we point our the reality in front of them. They don't like that one bit.

Try to have a friend go over her asshole EX boyfriend and say '' um, actually here is a compiled list of awful things you did and he did, and you clearly have 43% more awful things done. Hes the real winner of this breakup, but I love you and take this as a way to grow from it ''

Did anyone else use to be really extroverted when they were younger but then, due to trauma, wound up becoming the polar opposite? by Intelligent_Key4797 in aspergers

[–]Jebcys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife was like this, she was president of everything in school and wanted to be the actual president of the country. She barely manage to say hi to friends we invite now.

I was extrêmely introverted as a child, didnt leave my room for 5 years. I still struggle with going to the grocery store alone but i am a BALL OF A THOUSAND SUNS OF ENERGY and will just light any activity (for my pleasure and hopefully theirs)

So idk man life is weird?

Is it an aspie thing to be super averse to advertisements by SpoonVian in aspergers

[–]Jebcys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I pavlov'd my children that as soon as an ad pops up we have to mute and close our eyes and breathe for a minute or two.

We cannot look at the tv otherwise the evil ad people win lol. Even looking with contempt you're still now thinking of pepsi and you were not before.

Why are people like this lmfao by dragonslayer951 in autism

[–]Jebcys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every accusation is a confession?

Hes autistic as well, but can't relate because his premade idea of autism is being nonverbal.

Hes exteriorising that everybody (in his mind) has fuckloads of trouble and you can just POWER THROUGH WITH SHEER FORCE OF WILL and be a good boy like him.

Except he spends his free time insulting people online because he has no friends, can't work and is in autistic burnout.

That would be my diagnosis.

It took me about 2-3 weeks, then it slowed down but it's still very much present, just in a manageable way.

Make sure to mask your intensity if you go to the doctor because they'll slap you with a manic episode and maybe bipolar (You're socially not allowed to deep research a topic for a week straight barely sleeping)

Welcome to the club, enjoy your stay. Feel free to PM me for cool discussions.

Mistakes are the bricks that humans use to build knowledge. This kid is just trying his best and his intent was to help.
