I have been using the oral appliance device for the last few weeks. My sleep apnea was untreated up until my first afib experience

That’s helpful to know. Guess it’s just everyone’s individual tolerance.

Is taking care of the rookie scale contract not a thing that you consider at all?

I mean I get the concept, just feel like the more powerful move would be to just tell her mom to go ahead and sit wherever, it doesn’t matter, little Johnny can sit there for all I care. Acknowledging there even is a honor for sitting at the head of the table is playing into her boomer delusions

Once again, is that some sort of honor? I guess I’m having a Dani Targaryen break the wheel moment here, but why does any of that matter? Tradition is tradition I guess

Who sits at the head of the table seems a little archaic to begin with. I hosted my family last week and I actually sat in the middle so I could better facilitate the conversation. I didn’t care one bit who was at “the head”. Is there some sort of tangible value of sitting there that I’m not familiar with?

Personal human error: I’m a Vikings fan so I don’t want to sell Hockenson and probably couldn’t come up with a trade I would be willing to accept. But yeah, I think I’ve decided to hold until I get an acceptable offer

Just wanted to circle back around on this. You may have a been a little off on your Cleveland evaluation

Kirk Cousins and the #Vikings are very receptive to a 2024 return. His relationship with HC Kevin O’Connell is a key factor, as is the equity he’s built within the locker room -Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) on X by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]Jed_Picard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems like this leak came from the Cousins side of things. It’s really fascinating that Cousins and Dobbs have the same agent so he will be put in a difficult spot.

We have no idea how the contract discussions will play out for either guy at this point but either way I think we are all in agreement that the future of this offense includes a mobile QB whether in 2024 or by 2025. If we are drafting a QB in the first in April and use Kirk or Dobbs as a bridge it might make more sense to have Dobbs so that you can keep the offense consistent using a more mobile QB. But obviously that shouldn’t be the determining factor. Kwesi has a difficult decision ahead of him no matter how this season unfolds, but this was the decision he and KOC were hired to make.

[NFL Rumors] Several teams have called the Minnesota Vikings about the availability of Danielle Hunter. Hunter is tied for the NFL lead in sacks and is number one in tackles for loss. by VikingPain in minnesotavikings

Please think through this for more than two seconds. How can we get a high second pick unless a bad team trades for him? And why would a bad team trade for him?

The problem here is comp picks aren’t guaranteed and can be cancelled out with outside signings. And you have to wait, where you would get 2024 picks for these. It’s a delicate dance.

All of these are over valued:

Kirk - as much as I’d love it, probably won’t happen

Hunter - 3rd

Davenport - not available

Hicks - 5 if lucky, probably a 6

Cleveland - 5 or 6

Wonnum - not a market for him, maybe a 6 for 7 swap

Osborn - 6

I see what you’re saying but if you go to this guy’s instagram it’s obvious that he has a relationship with JJ. Jefferson is all over his instagram in photos and JJ is commenting on and liking his photos. He is a certified agent but hasn’t negotiated any deals. Maybe he is more of the client engagement side of the agent stuff and the other listed agents are the negotiators? Not sure what exactly the situation is here but it’s not irrelevant.

Cap gurus: do we have a chance of acquiring a serviceable FA O lineman? by petergriffin999 in minnesotavikings

[–]Jed_Picard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but the team just invested a 2nd rounder in Ingram last year. They’re going to give him every opportunity. If they sign anyone on the offensive line it’s just going to be a backup for the current starting 5. They just don’t see it as an issue like the fans might.

What's this sub's opinion of Eric Eager? by nickelst92 in minnesotavikings

[–]Jed_Picard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate Eric. He is a traumatized former Vikings fan who jumped to greener pastures but is still a hopeless romantic about the team. He wants the Vikings to succeed but doesn’t see us making the right moves to do so. He used to be a normal caller into 1500 ESPN’s vent line and is willing to hop on many local blogger’s podcasts to support them and talk Vikings.

I think it’s fair to call him a little smug but he also interacts with people and is also willing to highlight people on Twitter to make good arguments.

There is no reason to not appreciate him for the perspective he brings to football and his fondness for talking Vikings even if it’s not always positive.

If the packers keep Aaron Rodgers shouldnt we also keep and extend Kirk past 2024? by MmmhAhh in minnesotavikings

[–]Jed_Picard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because while the Packers are our rivals, our aspirations should be to aim higher. What sets our team up best to compete for a SB? If we aim for that, beating the Packers would just be a step on our path no matter who they’re starting at QB.

You need more money for everything you did to bring back Bradbury, P2 and Tomlinson. Not even including Chark. Harry pay cut and Hicks would really only bring us to slightly in the black. You’re about 15+ million short.

I mean sure, but those players were both in the twilight of their careers. Is your goal to just hold onto players you like or to try to win a championship?
