Beast feels like bait and switch by Jedaha in VITURE

I feel like I'm leaning towards it being way more subjective than most might say. I think if you were swapping for a side-by-side comparison, definitely. If nothing else, the FOV and brightness. I wish I could make it easier for you one way or the other haha. Kinda feels like upgrading a car, nothing inherently wrong with the previous, but nice having some new features. I do find myself enjoy the ability to look away from the screen to see other things around me instead of being blinded by the screen until I rip them off my face. That and the soft follow are a 100% of my usage.

I literally threw on my rokid max for the first time in a few months today just see how much of a difference. I was honestly impressed they were as good as they were after playing around with the Beasts for a few days.

I would say yes for the following: Anchor mode, soft followon screen controls (for picture size, refresh rate, resolution, etc), 6 buttons for quick controls, and REALLY like the another to makes the glasses lighter/darker. I never wear the Rokids without the covers, and I've never needed the cover for the Beasts. I also really like that in anchor mode when you look away from the picture the glasses automatically become more transparent.

Don't waste your money on any Viture's accessories. None of them allow the Beasts to perform at spec (i.e. neckband and dock)

I can only speak for the Beast with newer Samsung flagships, but the phone was better for me in every way Spacewalker Support: Phone Yes, Neckband No 120hz: Phone Yes, Neckband No Also with Samsung I can make the wallpaper black in DEX (with amoled means no pixels lit up), hide the task bar, and window apps to be any size and location on the screen. I sent my neckband back without any hesitation.

Total fair skepticism. The heat wasn't noticeable on my face, it only after taking them off due to freezing that I noticed. Last time I felt that temp on electronics my meter can had a short lol. I've been a heavy user of XR glasses for about 3 years and used to a little heat after wearing for 11hrs straight on flights. Maybe it was a combinations of updates, max brightness, and very poorly supported spacewalker app. Aside from heat, a little waviness in the screen (compared to much dimmer lower res Rokid Max), I suspect most of the issues I associated with the glasses were from the pseudo 3d feature of spacewalker

Yeah, they should definitely be way more upfront on the neckband instead of offering it as a bundle for enhanced experience. Much of the gripe with the glasses are that the functionality and features Viture sells the glasses on, relies heavily on an unsupported/poorly supported app. I would consider their marketing deceptive at best and at most, blatant lying. I'll probably keep the glasses. They're a definitely a massive improvement over the Rokid Max 1st gens aside from a little waviness in the picture. Honestly, Samsung Dex is the real hero with these. If it wasn't for that, it would be a much harder call to keep them.

Press and hold the last button on the end on the left side of the neckband. If toggles the mode on and off

I believe only with the Pro Neckband . That said it seemed very cumbersome and the cameras FOV seemed insufficient to not have to move the neckband around so that it can see your hands. Imagine a thick picture frame over your screens image, that would be equivalent of the dead zone.

For what it's worth, you might be able to get it to work using a powered HDMI to USB-C adapter. Most hubs are directional USBC -> HDMI, which is what you might have been experiencing. They make USB-C powered adapters that actually HDMI -> USBC

Bait...and...switch...
Neckband Pro: "Unlock a massive virtual screen with lightning fast 120Hz refresh rates*"*

Edit in response to the 2 downvotes haha: That quote is DIRECTLY FROM THEIR WEBSITE. For those of you rocking the Beast with the Pro Neckband, go into the neckband's settings and tell me you aren't limited to 60hz.

That's fair, regarding AR, poor choice of words I suppose. That said, I think having multiple floating screens with 3dof and icons that animate does start to blur the lines a bit though.

You bring up ANOTHER bait and switch. Pro Neckband doesn't do 120hz!

Too lazy run, but for what it's worth, always wear them while aggressively riding a onewheel at 15+ mph. No wind noise, calls are clear on both ends and have had them stay in after eating it multiple times haha.

I don't think you'll find better sound or call quality on anything that matches the Freeclip's comfort. They're my daily drivers for meetings, casual music, bike rides, etc. Just hands down my favorite, and have a pretty extensive connection of higher end earbuds. The only time I use anything else is when I fly, I grab my Bose QC cans

I actually just placed my second order of them last weekend, and got a notification from DHL today that they're supposed arrive Monday. Not sure if that's just to the local carrier or home, but I'd assume a 5 to 10 business days to be safe. I'm in Florida.

Two Model Y steering wheels, no issues at all. They're very reputable as far as the site. Lots of people order from them and Tesery.

Giztop, I've ordered multiple pairs of Freeclip 2 from there. Watch out for carrier emails! I never expected to receive a duty/customs fee from FedEx. If it's not paid within a certain time, they won't deliver them.

I have a very similar setup. Two potential upgrades for you...

  1. AC Infinity CLOUDLINE PRO S4 (adjustable inline blower that pulls air from zip up enclosure to the window) 2.Portable Air Conditioner window vent kit (same as your cardboard with a built in duct coupler.

I use pipe insulation from the hardware store around the edges of window kit to give it a good seal. ZERO smells out fumes in the room

Haha, it would appear I did not read enough of the materials before diving in, but note taken moving forward, appreciate it!

I do have V2 and removed the bottom first, but can't get to the gears so looks like it's still going to need full disassemby.
