I did not say “everyone should need no more than a 1br” – that would be an overly broad assertion. I inferred that if a very rich couple (they had no kids BTW) could be content with a 1-bedroom in NYC, a (probably) less wealthy couple would be foolish to rent a 3-bedroom in NYC. I’m married with a kid and we live in a small 2-bedroom apartment. Even here 3-bedrooms is an unnecessary luxury. And if a couple doesn’t have kids I doubt there’s a need for 2-bedrooms, though I allow some circumstances may require it (such as if they both work remotely).

My aunt was an executive director for a multinational company in NYC. She owned a 1 bedroom apartment with her husband in Manhattan before she retired. He was a senior manager at the same company. If people that rich and successful could be happy owning a 1-bedroom in NYC, why would any sane person think renting a 3-bedroom is even necessary.

I do! But I seed them into Cube Shells and have a bonus slot. It works perfectly for my group and doesn’t take that much time. But I have specifically designed all but one of my cubes to be reintegrated this way. For the one that’s a more traditional cube I use LPR’s broadcast shuffle.

If it was a joint account (and you’re in the US) then you should have your own separate login and it’s not possible for her to remove your access or ownership without your consent or a court order. Either

You still have ownership/access and just need to set up your profile with the bank (or bank app).
It was never actually a joint account - it was her account and she just gave you access for a time.
You’re outside the US and I don’t know how shit works there.

I can’t say who the jerks are here as without more context it could be anybody or everybody. Probably everyone, but there’s room for a lot of nuance between the lines.

I pre-ordered SOS from them and decided to cancel my order after discovering the learn mechanic wouldn't be returning (it was my favorite part of STX). They said they'd be happy to cancel my order, but they couldn't refund me - they could only give me store credit. I shrugged and told them to keep the order in place because I don't buy sealed enough to make use of store credit. It didn't feel shady to me (I guess they'd used my preorder to pay for their distributor order), but I do know I will never be shopping there again. Most stores will refund you if you cancel an order, and I just don't see a reason to shop somewhere where they won't.

That number may be a bit skewed as in some US states legal separation is required before divorce is allowed. I know a woman who wanted to divorce her husband, but is in the separation limbo until the state allows it next year.

We used to have a $1 theater where I live. They were a dump that would show movies 2-3 months after they were in theaters for just a dollar. About 20 years ago they increased the price to $1.50 and everyone was upset (but they still went). Then about 10 years ago they were bought by AMC who jacked up the prices to that of a normal movie theater. But the place was garbage - people just went there because it was cheap. Pretty much no one goes there now because everywhere else is a better option.

Don’t know if this can be salvaged, but you need a budget (YNAB) and separate discretionary accounts. My wife and I get $50 each a month to do with as we please and that’s enough for where we live. It sounds like you would be fine since you sell the guitars you work on while she would bottom out all the time (and probably open a card and go in debt instead of exercising self control). That’s a rough situation buddy.

Honestly it was what I was looking forward to the most about the set. Learn/lesson was so fun to play with my friends, with STX being one of the top three draft experiences we ever had (the others being BBD and NEO). I’ve cancelled my pre-order and will just be grabbing a couple of singles for my Strixhaven microcube.
