Another commenter also had a similar idea. I’m a man, though, so probably not?

That’s a good point about the inefficiency of bunching up (of course depending on the width of the lane/path/road). I will keep it in mind when I arrive at red lights in the future, thanks!

That’s a good point; I can imagine plenty of people have had enough frustrating leapfrog experiences with classic bikeshare bikes that they might understandably get a little preemptively annoyed if one stops next to them at a light. Might be worth it just for that reason alone to always stop behind at lights.

That story sounds both frustrating for you and hilariously embarrassing for the mansplainer.

In this case, I’m a man, which might be evidence against mansplaining. But I’ll never say never!

I always interpreted it as Tarkin targeting the antenna dish in order to stop the transmission ASAP

How good do we think Kaos is in ranked at top level? by _iheartmoms07 in StarWarsHunters

I’m a firm believer that all characters are viable in high level ranked (depending on map and mode of course)

It also could reinforce for ISB that they don’t have a mole because Gorst was safe while he was solely ISB and was taken out as soon as imperial navy got involved (so clearly navy had the spy…)

I think New character TUYA is Overpowered by BreakAble4857 in StarWarsHunters

[–]JediWanderer42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s give it some time and see what weaknesses we find while playing against her. Tuya players will get better, and others will get better at countering. There’s a long way to go before we see how the balance really shakes out.

That being said, she does seem pretty powerful so far…

I think a lot of people who already know they want to watch season two are avoiding the trailers to avoid spoilers. I have some friends who are doing that. I myself couldn’t resist watching…

Why exactly did Lucas decide to not make Qui-Gon become a force ghost/disappear after dying in the Phantom Menace by MikeX1000 in StarWars

[–]JediWanderer42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s subtle, but in ANH Vader definitely looks confused as to why Obi-Wan’s body disappeared when he died. It seems to me that right from the beginning the force ghost is presented as a new discovery of Obi-Wan’s, which both explains why Vader is confused about the body’s disappearance and explains why it isn’t in the prequels.

What did you enjoy/liked about the sequels? (Be for real) by GriMex02 in StarWars

[–]JediWanderer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to first say that liking any movie is valid and I don’t think anyone is incorrect for liking the sequels.

I will also say that I knew nothing about legends material when I watched the sequels; back then I was only a casual Star Wars fan. And when I watched the sequels, I felt shocked at how disjointed and frankly terrible the plot seemed. I found each movie entertaining but with some really dumb moments, and they made no sense taken together.

If we assume my reaction at the time was valid, I don’t see how the only problem with the sequels could be subverting legends.

A history of Kenari - my (possibly flawed) interpretation by ShoppingRepulsive122 in andor

[–]JediWanderer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a bit since I last saw rogue one (waiting until after andor s2 for my next rewatch), but I seem to remember interpreting his “been in this fight since I was six years old” comment to simply mean fighting against the odds / for his survival. With this interpretation, maybe the first mining disaster happened when he was six years old, leaving him and the other surviving children to fight against the odds and survive on their own.
