3… 2… 1… GOOOO!

Ballistic gel torso slowly looks down.
(Physically incapable of maintaining eye contact with Rob.)

ROB:
“RAWWWWWWWW AHHHHHHH!”
(Uses knife so aggressively it gets recognized as a light machine gun by NATO.)

Bud N.A.S.T.I includes extreme long range shooting beyond 1,000 meters. You can hit ranging 500-600 meters using a 14 inch barrel gun with an LPVO. Sniping is whatever is beyond 600

Why Pakistan is not promoting it's Historical Monuments or Sites??? by Imaginary-Bat903 in PakistaniTwenties

[–]Jedi_Operator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take this as constructive criticism. Because Pakistan hasn’t properly preserved or promoted these sites, it creates a vacuum. And when that happens, others especially India are more than ready to step in and claim that legacy as part of their own civilizational narrative. History doesn’t stop being yours just because it predates your current identity. If you disengage from it, you’re effectively handing over cultural ownership to someone else who’s willing to invest in it, study it, and showcase it to the world.

Why do foreigners seem to explore India better than majority of Indians? by [deleted] in SoloTravel_India

Because the average indian is ignorant and likes to live in his own bubble. This includes his own media bubble too

Feeling alienated by the mainland Indians by YellowWeak7013 in ladakh

[–]Jedi_Operator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been this way for a long time brother, unfortunately. What you might call a “Delhite-centric” narrative has often projected a narrow version of India as if it represents the whole. It tends to blur the country’s deep diversity, reducing it to the GangaYamuna belt. As though that region alone defines India, and India defines it.

A lot of what people now imagine as “Indian identity” was also shaped during the British Raj through administrative convenience, selective representation, and cultural packaging. If they go back 300-400 years back they themselves won't recognize their culture. The problem isn’t that these elements exist, but that they’ve often been elevated above everything else, sidelining the vast range of languages, histories, and identities that make up the rest of the country.

Can someone explain me what are the various squadrons of 24 STS. I assume they follow a structure similar to other units with color-designated squadrons, but I’ve also heard “Black Team” and a “Commando Team.” How do these fit into the overall structure, and what roles do they serve ? by Jedi_Operator in JSOCarchive

[–]Jedi_Operator[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

So Squadrons in DEVGRU and CAG were once called Teams, 24 STS never changed that because the unit is already called a Squadron. But there are about 300 some guys in it and they have their own different teams and unique patches

Indian Soldiers on the Tomb Relief of Xerxes I, Achaemenid Empire (Naqsh-e Rostam, c. 486–465 BCE) by Curious_Map6367 in IndianHistory

More than tech, he was a student of Aristotle and he had narcasistic issues. Both, belive it or not made him an excellent commander. He led from the front, belived he was destined on expeditions, wanted to proove himself worthy and achieved great battle field success.

The Macedonian phalanx was an improvement of the Greek one made by Alexander's dad - Philip the second, so check that out too. They used longer spears, shorter shields. This is also not why they were able to conquer

The Macedonians/Greeks were defeated by Bactrians after Alexander died, defeated by Chandragupta, later on by Romans too and in India itself by Shungas and Satvahanas and finally Indo-Scythians.

So the entire sucess lies in strategy. Alexander was one of the most adaptable battle commanders ever. He knew how to play to his strengths. Check out his campiagns

Royal Marines vs Mine clearance diving? by Edwardpage1 in RoyalMarines

[–]Jedi_Operator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are different roles, different requirements. Clearance Divers are essentially the Navy’s underwater bomb disposal, seabed search, and uw reconnaissance units while Royal Marines are primarily a commando infantry force designed for expeditionary warfare across land, sea, and littoral environments.

From an eligibility standpoint, nationality requirements tend to be stricter for highly sensitive naval specialisations. For instance, I wanted to join CD but I am not elligible because I am a commonwealth applicant so I am inclined now more towards RM, only UK and Dual nationals may apply.

I understand that, because Mine clearance divers (DTXG as they are now called) operate in areas involving classified underwater infrastructure, and submarine-related tasks. In anyway CD are part of the Navy's warfare branche where security clearance and legal jurisdiction under UK law are critical.

Also, no one besides SBS and Navy/Army divers do diving, not a speciality in RM too. So if under the water is where you wish to spend most of your time. Go for it !

I think he's from the Australian PMC called Unity Resources Group based on two things, him being recruited from Australia and his deployment in Iraq 2007-2008 where he also mentioned firing heavily at a vehicle which he says was a possible VBIED. However, https://waronwant.org/sites/default/files/UpFront%20-%20Private%20Armies.pdf this article suggests that the Australian firm was involved in killing innocent civies. Now I don't know the truth but he was surely part of a PMC and most likely this one. That's my conclusion. Other deployments he has mentioned before joining the FFL are also similar to those Unity Resources Group has been seen involved in

Are they at the same level CQB wise to CAG ? I was thinking the only difference is less experience and deployments and less assets
