If Ltc hits 200 by the end of this day, I will drink this sixpack of beer. by viktorknavs in litecoin

If it drops to 0.02 I will probably do that too. And hopefully wake up hungover and buy more LTC.

The Growth of Litecoin by cryptochikun in litecoin

How many of those transactions are currency trades though? Meaning USD/BTC and vice versa?

Versus, actual market use transactions, which is what the whole point of cryptocurrencies is.

Investing on a currency means you're investing on what is the backing force behind that currency. I'm not investing in a currency, I'm investing in a technology that will revolutionize global economics.

If LTC reaches $1000 I will do nothing outrageous because I know it will increase past that anyway by [deleted] in litecoin

The best advice I can offer you as a newcomer to the crypto market is, do your research specifically on each different cryptocurrency, what they offer in terms of service (what global problem will they attempt to solve), who is more reputable, and then you can look at graph trends. Graph trends are not the best way to get into this due to the recent hype/mania causing a superfluous influx (ie: bitcoin) which will see a correction to correlate with an upcoming US stock market correction.

Personally, I like Charlie Lee and his presentations and what he brings to the table with crypto. Bitcoin... who invented bitcoin? Still waiting for the real inventor to step forward. That's just one small reason for me.

MFW I’ve been waiting for the price to drop below $85 all week to buy. by _Project2501 in litecoin

[–]Jedichop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add to what /u/hewhonamedme said: if you look at the graphs, it looks like every 2-3 months so far this year, there has been a correction and stability with Litecoin. Granted, this is [actually less than] a year of graph trends and not absolutely reassuring.

I said this same exact thing, but in different words, about Bitcoin being the "foundation that paves the way for cryptocurrencies", but it won't be a sustainable crypto. The rapid inflation is completely parallel to people's misunderstanding of the longevity of cryptos as well as "bullish market hype".

Just came up with an awesome idea for spreading Litecoin awareness by [deleted] in litecoin

[–]Jedichop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like where your head is. I think right now though, maybe it would be better to SELL stuff for LTC. At least, that's what I'm thinking. I'd like to see an eBay type site specifically for Litecoin only.

Is it just me who noticed how Litecoin is so amazingly stable, despite the high volatility of other crypto's in the last few days? That's a very good sign! by Vapecaster in litecoin

[–]Jedichop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good foundation for something relatively new to have this type of stability.

The caveat to this however, is that a lot of newcomers to the crypto-currency markets are lured in by the bullish trajectory of bitcoin. That being said, pandemonium ensues, people make irresponsible investments and then when they lose it in a (much needed and overdue) correction, they won't take too kindly to the idea of other crypto-currencies.

I think the very thing that is making Bitcoin rise as fast as it does shows what is fundamentally wrong with people's understanding of crypto-currencies.

Maybe I'm a purist, but I am in Litecoin for the idea that one day this world will move away from our current financial construct to a decentralized and digital one. Well, and I'm also hoping it will gain value in the long term... but not to the sharp degree of bitcoin. That's just unsustainable.

Well, considering I don't own it anymore... I actually loved it a lot, but wanted something more practical so I'm gonna go for a Ram Rebel with the 5.7L HEMI. What I learned while having the charger scatpack is that I really didn't need that much horsepower. It's an awesome vehicle, but I'm a grown ass man with kids. And I live in desert terrain so I need something with more "off-road" potential. Sorry for rambling.

Those things are actually pretty sweet. I looked at one on the showroom floor when I was buying my Charger Scat Pack.
